Smiley A few questions for seasoned dancers?

    Hi, everyone!
So, I made this account five minutes ago after a few weeks of reading through the forum and falling in love with the immense support you all give each other. I turned 18 on the sixth and I've been thinking of dancing for quite a while... I also live in Las Vegas, which despite its recognition of strip clubs, doesn't seem like the best place to start dancing. (If anyone knows of any good cities for 18-year-olds, let a sista know!) But anyway, I have a few questions for some of the more seasoned dancers.

    1) What could one expect upon arriving to the dressing room for the first time from other dancers?
    2. How do you personally deal with any bitchiness from other dancers?
    3) How safe are lockers?
    4) How long did it take to get used to wearing those sexy yet seemingly unbearable 8 inch heels?

I just turned 21 and just got out of the 18+ clubs. I'm in Las Vegas too ! But to answer your questions
    1. Expect the girls to not really say much to you. Pick a spot to get ready in and pick a locker and have a seat lol. Be friendly if every anyone speaks but just do your thing ! Don't worry about everyone else.

2.i don't talk to other dancers too often. Except the ones I know outside of the club. From my experience the 18+ clubs have girls that are more catty. So I didn't talk too much. Just came to make my money. But always remember what you came to do and don't let other girls bother you.

    3. Lockers are pretty safe. I use a combination lock and they're pretty hard to get into, unless someone cuts it. But I keep everything valuable (car keys, phone, important cards, and money) on me all the time.

    4. The shoes are more comfortable than regular heels in my opinion. They have some with smaller heels if you're scared. But the ones with high heels usually have a high platform as well. So the arch isn't too bad.

    Hope I helped a little

Depends on who they are! Most of the times girls just ignore new girls when they come into the club. If you get stuck with some bitchy dancers they might give you a weird look or whisper about you to a friend, but I doubt anyone is gonna say anything to your face. Don't expect girls to be friendly, I get along with most of the girls at my club now but it took a while for me to get friendly with them and I had to be the one to introduce myself.

    2. How do you personally deal with any bitchiness from other dancers?
Just ignore it. You're there to make money, not friends. Who gives a shit what they think.

    3) How safe are lockers?
I personally don't use them at my club, but just get a lock and you'll be cool.

    4) How long did it take to get used to wearing those sexy yet seemingly unbearable 8 inch heels?
Stripper heels are actually the most comfortable heels in the world... your feet are very strapped in and the platform is huge--- you might be walking in 8" heels but you have a platform so they're really only 2". It'll probably take a few weeks to get the balance down. I'm very comfortable in mine to the point I can actually run in them!

I don't pay enough attention to give a fuck. I'm sure that people are going to glance at me but beyond that nothing. You should do likewise. You are not there for friends you are there for money. (Despite some threads insinuating to the contrary) Best advice I can give you is keep your mouth shut, eyes open, be leery of anyone who tries to be to friendly and ALWAYS POINT YOUR TOES.
    2. How do you personally deal with any bitchiness from other dancers?
Smile and take it as a compliment.
    3) How safe are lockers?
Nothing is "safe". Use common sense, lock your shit up and leave valuables at home. Always have your money on your person, even if you have to shove it in your cooter.
    4) How long did it take to get used to wearing those sexy yet seemingly unbearable 8 inch heels?
I don't do 8 inches. I fuck 7 inch cocks and wear 7 inch shoes.

The girls have already addressed everything pretty much but I'd like to add practice walking in the shoes at home and also if any girls are "too" nice to you at first be a little weary, esp, in a big city- they could have an angle or knowing you are new somehow try to take advantage.Ex. I was drugged by a veteran when I was a newer dancer cause she thought she could convince me to sleep w a client of hers.. TG a bouncer saw that I appeared drunk and (since I was underage) came to control the situation only to realize I was in fact not drinking and kind of saved my ass. Also the locker thing, if you have a newer car you can lock your wallet or purse in your glove box most likely and I would leave it there after your initial audition when the will no doubt need to see your id.

The previous responses are all great, I just want to add re: lockers, If sm1 is desperate enough, they will find a way to break into a locker.

I would recommend trying to get a locker that is not on the end of the row(unless its 'open' side is sandwiched tight against a wall) as the side panel can be broken out or taken apart w/ a screwdriver. Bring a combo lock or one w/ a key that you always keep on your person. I would not even trust a housemom w/ a locker key b/c you just do not know. Do not have anything in your locker that you cannot afford to lose. Keep a garter on your leg/ankle/upper arm for your $$ or a small purse w/ a strap, & make that purse an extension of your arm. If you wear knee- or thigh-high boots instead of pump-style heels, you can shove your $$ deep down into them to either organise later or just keep hidden, also you can keep drivers licence/entertainer licence inside them as well.

    1. You'll probably be ignored.
    2. I ignore them. I'm not there to make friends, I'm there to make money. If I screwed up, and did something that was socially unacceptable by the club's standards, I own it and apologize. I also thank the "bitchy" dancer who pointed out my mistakes to me. She is probably saving me a lot of hassle later.
    3. It depends on your club. Don't leave anything very valuable in them over night. Your phone, wallet, car keys, money is probably safe while you are working. Bring a good lock with you. I avoid combo locks because they can be cracked pretty easily. My preference is a MasterLock with a key. I keep the key in a small handbag while I'm working. I also keep my phone and money in the bag.
    4. I don't wear shoes that tall. I prefer my shoes to be in the 6-7" range. 6" platforms are pretty doable for most women who are used to dressing up. Just move slow and remove your shoes while giving lap dances to protect your customer's feet from getting stomped on.

Yep all you girls are right on the money!
    1. Absolutely nothing. They will ignore you, may laugh at your footwork if you do not have any, make fun of you and your dancing, your hustle style
    2. Ignore all of them. If they keep persisting( usually it's always one main one and the rest just eat out of her ass) then politely let her have it and keep it moving, some people will test you to see how to handle you. If someone says something sly I have something for them also, but with a smile.
    3. I don't use lockers, they are always taken anyway. I use a suitcase and have a lock on it. I was carrying a money bag but now i use those small throwback caboodles pink plastic box for my money, mints and small perfume. When the guys see it I tell them to "fill it up".
    4. I don't wear those big ass shoes! I wear 6' with a platform and keep it moving. I work in a black club and do to much hard dancing to be stomping around in those things. Plus at times clumsy and i'm to old to be falling and breaking my hip.

everyone has covered pretty much everything but..yes please don't trust lockers! bring as little with you as you can, keep your money, phone, car keys, either in your person and on you at all times. ( actually you can get our purse stolen from you if you aren't careful so maybe even lock your ID, phone, house keys, etc in your car. just not your car keys haha). if you are especially worried maybe get ready at your house and just bring a few things for touching yourself up during the night. my friends and i have had a lot of things stolen right out of our lockers in the past.

you don't need to start out with shoes that high. 6 inches is fine, in fact i try and wear ones lower than that because i have weak ankles and dont like being 6 ft tall in heels. stripper heels are much more comfy than regular heels so don't worry about that. just get ones that fit your foot like a glove ( take a hair dryer to a new pair so that it softens the plastic and then put your feet in them so it moulds.) if you have hard-wood floors at home try wearing them around the house to get used to it.

when i go to a new club i don't speak to the other girls unless spoken to, be respectful of them, don't start any drama, keep your head down and if somebody speaks to you be nice but don't attach yourself to them like a leach. above all: be nice to everyone but trust no one!

the best place to start dancing is the city you already live in. yah sometimes lv can be competitive but traveling to a new city to work when you're brand new is going to be a million times harder. try lds. the lockers are fine and I personally find lv dancers to be thw nicest and most respectful out of all of the cities I've worked in.
