    Default Dancers and their shoes

I recently met a dancer at my regular haunt who has only been working there about a month (which I can confirm from first-hand exp). We go to the VIP booth, spend time with dances, etc. After about an hour, I ask if she would like to take her shoes off. I've had a dancer before (who had worked there a lot longer) do this and she had no problem with it. The new dancer told me it was against club rules. She was pretty specific about the wording as well.
Is it common for clubs to disallow the removal of shoes?

at my club it is. i've gotten yelled at twice for removing my shoes, even in the champagne room. they said that it was because i could step on glass, transfer foot fungus, and in some states its illegal because its "indecent"..since you're not completely naked when you have shoes on 0.o pretty idiotic but i've heard of it.

Thanks for confirming this, although I kind of regret bringing it up, because now that you mentioned "foot fungus" I am less inclined to kiss/rub their feet. Although whenever a dancer has actually removed their shoes, their feet were on my lap, not on the couch and/or floor. Ditto when they put the shoes back on.
    Yes it is pretty idiotic.

Stripper shoes really start to stink after a few months' wear.....lol
When guys have asked me to remove my shoes and I know they stink, I have said that it's against the rules before, even though it wasn't, haha.

It's against the rules at a couple of clubs I go to but some girls do it anyway. I like short girls. My ATF is 4" 11" and all of my other favs are around 5' as well. They know it drives me crazy when they take their shoes off and get comfortable.

I'm with you, I like girls who are a lot shorter than me. One of my favorite moments is when I go to the VIP room, and the girl who was taller than me takes off her heels, and is way way shorter. Rather than sit down on the couches right away, I'll do the standing hug thing to soak it in. My current ATF is only about 2-3" shorter than me without heels, she towers over me in her heels.

i noticed a couple times i took a shoe off and stood on my foot and the look on the guy's faces when they saw i was actually quite a bit shorter than they were, its was like relief and joy. lmao. i hate the 7 inch bullshit that we are required to wear, i just don't feel attractive when im towering over a guy ( or just as tall as him) because of my ridiculous shoes.

Like many things, this 'rule' will depend on the area & its enforcement will depend on the club. I have worked in clubs that warned me preemptively not to do it, in clubs that have threatened to fire me over it; one club that could care less as long as I didn't throw them at mgmt (yes they said that in so many words) & one club that required girls to remove their heels in the private dance areas in an effort to preserve the furniture.

She's new, so she is probably following every rule. After being there a while, I bet she'll be shoeless.

I'm never a fan of removing my shoes and the one time I did, I accidentally stepped on vomit. I didn't see the customer throw up in the room. I didn't smell it either bc the room stunk like cigarettes.

Anyway, never again will i put my bare feet on the floor. Unless you put your jacket on the floor. :-P Also, glasses always break so there will be little pieces of glass. God knows what other funky stuff is on that floor.

We aren't allowed to take our shoes off at my club. They've actually sent girls home for the day who don't follow that rule.

We can take them off at my club, I actually ALWAYS remove them. My shoes don't smell bad unless you stick your face in them, lol. I can't give a lap dance with my shoes on, I would fall over and it hurts my thighs actually it's like more pressure on my muscles or something. I have pretty awesome balance in my shoes, I can actually run across the room in them pretty fast-- but lap dance in them, that I cannot do.

    Clubs want to protect themselves.

At first, a "classy" club said giving a dance without shoes wasn't lady-like. Then a manager confessed that it was due to the club's concerns about liability when it comes to dancers getting wicked bad gashes on their feet from all of the broken glass, pieces of metal crap, serrated bottle caps, and goodness knows what else. If you spent 8-10 hours a night in a club, 3-4 days a week, you'd know what I'm talking about. Glass items are dropped and shattered often enough... some shards are overlooked because the club is dark and the cleanup is rushed.

Personally, I can say that I managed to get a small bit of glass embedded in my knee. At some point, I noticed that my knee hurt and saw a blood droplet just underneath my kneecap. I merely thought that I had cut myself shaving earlier that day and maybe ripped off the scab while dancing. I washed it off and applied hydrogen peroxide/alcohol to the wound. Fast-forward to a few days later: I notice I have a hard object underneath the now-healed skin. Eventually I removed it... I'll spare you the details but I can say that I wore thigh high stockings at work for a week or so afterwards.

To be honest, I have had more issues with beer bottle caps. I have set a knee on a few... not fun. I have stepped on several... and yeah, I have even toppled thanks to the cap's tendency to imbed itself in the rubber/plastic sole of my shoe and throw me off balance.

Imagine that experience without shoes. Have you ever stepped on a LEGO block or an electrical plug? Imagine that... but sharper.

New dancers are contradictions. They follow the rules they are told to follow as if their lives depend on them. At the same time they break rules that experienced strippers know "needn't be said" or accept as common sense. A strip club is a wacky little microcosm.

To answer your question... I answered it.

LMAO @ throwing shoes at management - MM once clocked the DJ with a well aimed shoe all the way from the main stage at Deja Vu. It's still a rather famous story there.

I wouldn't kiss a dancer's feet who walked barefoot in any club I've ever been in. I kind of avoid letting my shoes touch anything when sitting cross legged there, LOL!

I've actually worked at a couple clubs where it was mandatory to take your shoes off when doing LD's in certain VIP rooms so that the heels wouldn't poke holes in the couches lol. And both of these were moderately nice clubs.

In Vegas, it's technically a health code violation to remove your shoes. It's pretty heavily enforced at my club if you're on the floor. You have to keep your shoes on come hell or high water. In VIP, it's much more relaxed. If I'm doing anything more than a 3-for-100, I take that shit off. I don't give a rat's ass if my feet smell, I'll just blame it on another girl or something.

If you want to spend your time in VIP rubbing/tickling/licking/sucking on the dancer's feet, discuss that with the dancer beforehand! Some are okay with foot play, many are not. Sounds like you caught the new girl unawares and she clung to the shoes staying on rule because she was afraid (correctly) that you'd try to put your mouth on her feet! Really, when you're looking for something slightly out-of-the-norm, discuss boundaries first, and go with a more experienced dancer.

During dances I prefer to remove my heels. There are a few clubs that are extremely strict about not removing them and will hand out ridiculous fines. According to some county laws I'm ok to run around the club with my goodies exposed but as soon as my shoes come off it's lewd and incessant.

i can't do dances without taking off my shoes. i can't keep my balance or switch positions at all. i would occasionally walk barefoot from the lap dance area to the dressing room if i had to quickly refresh before stage or something.

I once worked in a club that had a "shoes must come off" rule. However, I carried a pair of those foldable flats so my feet wouldn't had direct contact with the floor.

Have you tried carrying in a pouch a pair of foldable flats? I did that in a club a few years ago.

I can strut through the club and give a good stage show in 7 inchers but I turn into bambi on ice when I try and give a LD. Thankfully its normal to de-shoe in my part of the UK. Now I fear going back to dancing incase i stand in a pool of sick :p

In my experience when the girl removes her heels before the dance, it's usually a sign that the dance will be good.

I'm actually a bit surprised by my knowledge about but lack of experience with this question. As other girls said, it's something varies from place to place and club to club. I've only ever had it specifically mentioned to me at two of maybe half a dozen clubs I've danced in, and I didn't stick around long enough at the second one to see how thoroughly enforced it was.

At my main city club, it was never mentioned. I never saw any shoes shorter than 4" (I know some clubs do have height requirements, but I've never worked at one that mentioned it) nor any girls ever take theirs off during hours. I never took mine off because the dance areas were either too small (back when I first worked there, we did $20 dances on the couches lining the walls) to do any tricks that warranted removing my shoes, or (when I worked there the second time and $20 dances were done in thinly veiled main booths that had seating like the VIP booths) the couches were sturdy enough to support me with my shoes on. Worked out well in my mind, since I avoid taking my shoes off as much as possible. I know my small feet can be a commodity when it comes to fetishists, so no freebies!
At my home/local club, I was told that I was not to take my shoes off under any circumstances when I first started. Wasn't something I thought to question as a newbie until my first shower show, which I know had to have happened before my first foot fetishist. That's when I was informed "only during shower shows and on the walk straight back to the dressing room from it." Over the course of a few months, though, I realized that they made a bigger deal out of it than it actually was- they just didn't want girls doing it often enough to give a trashy vibe. I almost always took them off during VIP dances because the couches were too squishy to stand on while wearing them and can't remember anything being said about it. I would occasionally dart across the floor barefoot between the DJ booth and dressing room, which always seemed to be treated like a cute/playful thing by customers and staff, or take a shoe off to show a customer how short I actually am. As long as I wasn't barefoot on the main floor more than the roughly 15 seconds it took to get noticed, no one actually seemed to care aside from management.

As for liability issues- I'm a barefoot hippie when I'm not on the clock. It means exactly jack and shit to me to go barefoot on club floors, and I've never really stepped on/in anything worse than a wet spot from a spilled drink. Personally, I think it's more dangerous to step on a bottle cap in shoes than barefoot.
Exotic dancing is like any other job.
If you work in an office, you wear dress shoes and a suit.
If you work in a restaraunt, you wear skid resistant shoes and a uniform.
If you work in a strip club, you wear 7" stilettos and lycra g-strings.
