In the ever-changing climate of changes in the camming world, I figured it'd be a good thing to have a thread for sharing tips, advice and general support for performers struggling to adapt. It can be a scary time for some of us when we feel like the way things are changing is making us lose out, perhaps whilst others thrive, or that we simply don't know how to make things work as they used to for us, and are looking for ways to keep our game sharp.
Those of you who feel perhaps that camming hasn't changed for them are of course more than welcome to post here! In fact your advice and input would be so valuable also because perhaps you have the ability to naturally adapt than some of us. That said, it needs to be emphasized that I don't want this to be a debate thread about changes, but rather a place for us to come to to share tips and support to keep everything constructive in everyone's favor regardless of how things are going for us all, good and bad.

- Don't keep all your eggs in one basket! This is of course a given, but so, so important. When you have a good handful of alternative sites to work, it can feel less like the world is caving in on you when one of them gives out. Other content sales, like clip selling, can help massively when it comes to camsites glitching out, or just making you feel like tearing your hair out.
- Having a Plan B - This could be other forms of self-employment or back-up work. Selling stuff on eBay can be a great help, or making things to sell on to others.
For me, I've spent so much time procrastinating over how worried I've been about camming, I've ended up stressing myself out to the point where all the stuff I've been doing out of procrastination, I could actually turn into profit! LMAO! I know that sounds so bad, but I'm actually pretty proud that I've ended up making a bunch of stuff I could sell. I've been getting into photography, painting and flower pressing. The first two are things I actually did make money from before I took up camming, so it's been a positive thing for me to rediscover these old things. Not to mention they are things that don't require me to physically perform, act, put on a happy face no matter what.
I certainly don't want to give up camming, and I still want to excel at it, because I still believe I can, but the pressure that's been on me lately, combined with how my placement took a dive after I was just selling clips has affected my performance to the point I absolutely need more back-up.
Sometimes you find the more back-up you have, the more you actually find yourself enjoying camming more, thus actually wanting to do it more, because you actually feel free to, because that pressure to "MAKE $1200 BY THIS DATE ON THIS CAMSITE OR ELSE!" goes away... I know not all performers work that way though, and that some actually feed off that pressure rather than completely buckle under it.

So we can move our schedules around for things that need to be taken care of and what not. I was meaning like, the people who don't work AT ALL or keeping putting it off because they let other things get in the way and then they end up stressed and worrying about money and start thinking their life is in shambles and if they could just get x,y, and z worked out it will all be fine, THEN they can work. Ya know? Like, get the work in and things tend to work themselves out in other areas of your life.
