Yesterday seemed like it was going to be a gigantic waste of time. Not only was it the end of the month (fewer customers, way more dancers) but our sister club is remodeling, so girls who never work at my location came pouring in trying to come up with rent/mortgage money.
How I turned it around and left with almost $400 on a slow day shift:
1. I wore an outrageous costume. I have the exact outfit pictured here in blue.
2. I worked my contacts list super hard. Yeah, I was that girl sitting by herself staring at her phone. I fired off text after text until a customer responded to me. I made it all the way to "G" on my contacts list before I got a hit. Gary stopped by because he was stuck in traffic and decided to wait it out in the club.
3. Once I got my customer into the bar, I asked him to pay me for VIP while I was on stage. That way the other customers in the bar could see that this man was tipping me like crazy. They didn't know that the money he was putting on the stage was for VIP, but it did get me some attention from the few guys who were in the bar. Even the dude who was falling asleep at his table managed to cough up $2 to put on my stage.
4. After Gary left, the remaining customers wanted my attention. I got 2 more VIP shows before I headed home for the evening.
This method worked because I have a work phone number (google voice) and have the app loaded onto my phone. Sometimes the guys decide they'd rather date me or see me OTC, and that's ok. I'm always "busy" when they ask and tell them to come keep me company in the club. You never know when a love sick customer will decide he needs a VIP show. Or he may brag to his buddies about this stripper he knows, and the buddies will pop by just to see what's up. This is especially true in male dominated fields like construction work or IT. Don't get angry because a customer is looking for OTC or a girlfriend. He obviously really likes you. Work it so that he shows you in $$ how much he likes you.
The other benefit of working a contacts list is that I don't wear myself out trying to hustle the few customers who are in the bar. These guys have been asked for dances and money over and over by girls trying to make sales on the limited clientele. Some guys see that as an opportunity to get extras or free time from the girls. Some just feel annoyed by the hard sell. When there are 2-3 girls for every customer in the room, it is easier to close the sale if a stripper can get the customer to come to her.
Ever notice how when you are busy, it seems like all the customers want a dance from you, but when you are hustling your ass off but getting rejected, it just seems to get worse and worse? That's because men want to know why the busy girl is busy. You have to project the illusion of being popular with the customers, especially if the competition is heavy for the few guys in the bar.
This is just human nature. We like to follow trends. We like what is popular. Strip club customers are no exception. Make yourself seem like the most popular girl in the club, and it will become the case very quickly.
*Who says I'm wasting my college degree in behavioral economics? LOL!![]()
