Search Who Am I? [Picking My Dancer Name]

I don't really want to use my real name when I'm working in the club ; but on the other hand, I do.

Picking a fake "real" name would kind of .. help me, in a way.
I would get to be someone different for the night ; alter ego kinda thing.

But as I was looking into this, I found that using your real name could be beneficial.
According to YouTube & Google, if you use your real name it builds "trust" with the customer.
I really don't know how I feel about this.

Some names that I've been considering are ..

    • Natasha (my name IRL)
    • Selina
    • Carmen
    • Anastasia
    I'm just not sure ..

Customers do not need to know your real name, & no matter what you call yourself at work you will get asked if that's your real name. You will encounter ppl who will not believe you no matter what you tell them your name is. Just tell them smtg that is believable & easy to remember.

You do not need to be sharing true personal info to make a 'connection' w/ customers & there are plenty of creeps who will try to pressure you to do that. For your own safety have a full fake backstory prepared. It is amazing how little info sm1 needs in order to look you up.

Using your real name does not build trust with customers. That doesn't even make sense. The only way they would know it's your real name is if you did something stupid like show them your driver's license or if they're creepy ass stalkers who hunt you down and find your real identity.

If you want, you can pick a stage name and then a fake "real" name. Then when the guys who really want to know your real name are griping about it, admit to them your fake real name. Then they feel special and you haven't given out any of your personal information.

And according to google Bigfoot exists. Are you going to believe everything the internet tells you? Your job isn't to "build trust" it's to take their money. You want to "build trust" and tell people your real name go volunteer as a candy striper. This job attracts all kinds of stalkers and telling people your real name is setting yourself up. Smh.

Yeah .. that's why when I was watching the videos it made no sense.
I mean, you want the clients to like you, but like you as a STRIPPER - not as a person, I guess.

Which videos were they? They could have meant pick a "realistic" stage . Mine isn't but then neither are my tits. My name suits me, plus my real name is out on the public domain.

My stage name is a "fake" real name. When guys ask me if it's my real name, I just say it is. (Even though it's not) I feel like having done this,it's cut out a lot of the annoying conversations of people harassing me to tell them my real name.

Even though everyone else already said it, I'm gonna say it too.

Don't EVER tell them your real name. There are a lot of crazies out there, and you don't want any of that I'm your life!
There is no reason you need a customer to "trust" you. Not in THIS industry...

I get so annoyed when customers ask my real name, especially right after I tell them my stage name. What would the point of a stage name be if we were all going to tell the customers our real names when we meet them?

When customers ask if Nina is my real name, I'll sometime say "it's my middle name" and leave it that (it's not). Or I tell them a fake real name, which is usually Carmen. Apparently I look like a Carmen because if I tell customers it's my real name they immediately find it believable and say it's fitting.

I dance by my real name and never had a problem, I don't tell them my last name. I also don't have social media so it's harder to track me and keeps personal information low.

I use a fake name and hate being called by it LOL I don't know why but it annoys me. I haven't gotten asked if that's my real name yet and when I tell them my fake name they say they like it. Im not on social media either nor am I stripping where I live. I've told ppl where I am from and its a good convo starter. I know Im breaking the stripper commandments but it's my life so w/e. Its w/e your comfortable with. If you hate lying about certain things then just use your real name, have a prepaid phone& strip where you don't live
The only way to get rid of a temptation is to indulge in it...

Was this some Strip and Grow Rich stuff you were watching? I read some of it and this sounds like the same terrible things in that programme.

i've noticed that the best hustlers i've ever known used their real names or a variation thereof (such as candy, instead of candace). so long as you don't give out any real personal information, no one is going to find you by a a first name--even with the advent of social networking, you can set your privacy settings to be super restrictive to anyone you don't know/personally add to your friends/followers yourself.

FWIW, nobody is going to believe that your real name is Natasha, so what would using it ITC accomplish?

You can find a Google image of someone's house with nothing but their first and last name on Spokio in 10 seconds. There are TONS of ways to get some dude in a strip club to trust you and none of them involve actually telling him the truth. You only need him to trust you enough to dump his wallet out into your lap. You aren't raising kids with the guy.

You mean what Google and YouTube say isn't true?

Don't even bother with it, it's such a scam, bad advice mixed with common sense.
