I would say if you have a backup plan to save that 600 again to get the car say in a few months then go for the cam model I think it is very worth it to get a used cam or computer and you should easily be able to save 600 again in no time on cam. Then you will soon have a car and extra money from cam. You should research here and look at all the different sites and figure out what kind of model you want to be and what you are comfortable with. I would recommend starting on streamate because you will have slow days and have to wait but money comes to you! It is very easy imo to convert traffic to privates and exclusives on streamate. If you would like to know more about streamate type streamate in the search bar. Start out using the encoder and things like that and I would say within 3 months you will be making a good amount and probably have that car you want

I would buy a desktop , skip the laptop and have money left over. You can always save and get that laptop later. Buy a Logitech cam for around $70, and you're still in the black. $600 isn't going to buy you the best laptop for camming, split camming, editing videos, etc...I recently saw a refurb i5 being sold for under $500. Not as fun a laptop, but they're more powerful and less prone to give you issues. Because I don't think you need any issues right now, and like I said you can always save for that laptop later. After you buy a car.

I know not having a car sucks. I was in that same boat and recently jumped out, but even if you find a car for $600 that's not going to afford the insurance, tag fees and registration. Camming appears glamorous but can be pretty fucking difficult. Despite this, t's definitely possible to save up at least $1000-1500 for a 'point A point B' car fairly quickly if you work hard. I wish you all the best luck, and please check out camming connection in the meantime.

Well a car means monthly payments in car payments or insurance and the cost of maintenance. At least with webcaming you can save up for a car and probably consistently handle the cost of keeping a car. I live in a big city so owning a car really isn't a big must have. if I want a car I can rent one otherwise I cam to keep the bills paid and regular savings.

and BTw $600 can get you a laptop but not a powerful enough one to handle running encorder software which is what some web cam sites use to broadcast in HD format.

With buying a desktop you can get custom built ones, where you can tell how much your willing to spend on a power supply and how much you are will to speed on a motherboard which can extend the life of your computer. If you go with a pre-built computer you want something that offers a i5 or i7 core system. which means the power that runs through your computer. it doesn't matter which type you go with you will always want to upgrade it in a year or two.

Then with camming you might want to add in making videos which means having a video editing software if you have a low budget computer it could take hours to render your video file, then when you are broadcasting video a low budget system will display choppy video out. so you definitely have to go in the route of $800 and higher.

I would definitely go with the laptop and start camming first, but make sure you get a computer that can handle it (for $600, a desktop computer will be your best bet) and make sure your internet connection has a decent upload speed. Make sure you're prepared for the inconsistent money - slow nights and busy ones.
