Default If you have a members' site..question for you re: smartphones

    Hey all,

I would like to add to my site, a way for people to sign up to get videos they can watch on their phone.

Is there an easy way to do this, that you all know of?

I suppose I could have a membership area on my site, where I post cellphone versions of my videos, and they could download it thru their phone browser..but I'm thinking some people might want the clips emailed to them..how do I do this? (and not manually..that's too time-consuming)

    Thanks!

I develop websites and let me tell you... having a mobile compatible website makes a huge difference. A couple blogs I developed had around 60% of viewers from mobile devices. Depending on the framework of your websites you may be able to just install a plugin that would make your website mobile compatible. Do you have your own developer? Or is it through a company that designs or hosts your website? If it's through a company I would talk to them about mobile compatibility.

If you have a mobile compatible website or a separate mobile version of your website they may be able to watch your videos on your site without having to change too much.

No..I do everything myself. My day job background/history is, web development and internet marketing.

My sites all use Wordpress. So..that's a good idea..maybe I can find a Wordpress plug-in.

So, do you think the way to go is not nec to PUSH the clips to the user, but have them download them off my site?

That's great you use wordpress! I didn't want to mention that right away because most people who purchase a script for their own cam site do not use wordpress. There are a ton of FREE plugins to make your website mobile compatible. Depending on the theme your using some will work better than others. Do you have a subscription based site already? If not, there are lots of themes and plugins to make this happen.

No..I used to have a members site, but I never got many signups, and it ended up being more trouble than it was worth, to keep it up to date.
