Default Yikes! I signed up with a virtual studio.

So I guess, the homework that I've been doing, researching on camming shows I still got a D on the test! I ended up (no pun intended) screwing myself! I come to find out, Icamz is a studio, and although I still haven't been approved and am still pending, I went and e-mailed both Icamz and streamate and asked to have my account closed. Haven't heard anything yet. Not one peep, for as much as Icamz went on about helping with answers. It's like both companies fell off the face of the earth.. and now Icamz is claiming 10% . By reading more on this site, I may need to wait 6 mths -1 year to sign up with SM again to get a new contract and with that-also get me out of Icamz? Is this right or do I get a D in this class too? Can I work with some others who also offer options like geo type protection? I really hate how I let myself be scammed. What a racket! I guess I am learning-The hard way!

Ok, there's a chance you can fix this, but you need to do this ASAP, like RIGHT NOW.

    1. Don't try to get your Icamz application cancelled at the moment, and don't bother talking to Streamate about your Icamz application. You can sort out Icamz later if steps 2 & 3 don't work for you.
    2. Pick out a new performer name. Sorry if you're in love with the name you used for Icamz, but you can just make a slight variation on it.
    3. Get on streamatemodels.com and apply directly with your new performer name. Just apply as though you never did the Icamz application. Yes, the SM application is similar but different, so you cannot submit the exact same application forms you filled out for Icamz. However, you should have saved your scanned ID, so that will be a little quicker. I think SM now allows e-signature, too, so you may not need to print anything out.

When I started camming, I applied with IM (a well-known studio). Two days later I found SW and realized my mistake. I don't remember where, but I read in a thread here that if you apply directly with Streamate AND with a studio, and both applications are pending, SM will give preference to the direct application and deny the studio one. So I very quickly applied directly to SM while my IM application was still pending. SM approved my direct application within a few days, while IM was still saying that it would be 2-3 weeks for approval. I have no idea what happened with my IM application, but I never attempted to cancel it through SM or IM, and I have not had any problems as a result.

Good luck! I hope this works for you!

Someone please correct me if I am wrong but you're not stuck with a studio until you stream. Please don't stream. If you haven't gotten approve yet then contact them to abort it. Fuck the 10%! That's worst than communism!

    Read roast's thread: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...avoid-studios)

It helped me escape!! There's lots to read but worth it-- and you might want to post in there too. Good luck!!

And like the others have said-- DON'T STREAM!
