15 months ago I was diagnosed with a femoral hernia. For the first 2 months it was bulged and extremely painful. I was living over seas where my medical options were limited. After tens of thousands of dollars spend getting treatment and a correct diagnosis, I found out there was no health risk but there would be pain. I had no insurance and the surgery was well above $30,000 in the PI. After the first couple months the pain and bulge went away and was never visible again.
Up until a month ago, the pain came back with vengeance. I had my records sent over to my new doctor but they wouldn't except them. 4 doctors later not including the E.R. trips and having to beg for a surgeon, they once again confirmed I HAVE A HERNIA. No shit you dumb fuckers. I am beyond pissed. 2 weeks ago they put me on some heavy duty drugs. A muscle relaxer, a hybrid opiate, anti nausea, and a something for the migraines the painkillers cause.
The drugs make me a drooling idiot. I have no function skills, but off the meds I think I'm going to die. The pain is so bad I've weighed peeing myself or getting up and being in pain. I've laid on the ground screaming, it will get bad enough I'll vomit.
They don't want to do surgery but I can't stay on these things. The scarring from surgery can be fairly bad if they don't do a laparoscopic procedure. I'm thinking about going back to cross-fit to make it worst. If I go back to the E.R. here in the states with a visible bulge and pain they will preform an emergency operation.
I feel so let down, this is the only idea I can come up with. Has anyone dealt with this?
