I was thinking of growing a landing strip but I gave up after 2 days. Too fucking itchy!!!!!!!

I danced in St. Petersburg, FL with armpit hair, and no one seemed to care or notice. Florida is a different, beachy grunge sort of place though, and I am blonde as hell. At a biggerclub, esp. Places like NYC, I think you gotta shave. Time, it's the hardest part of the job, shaving my pussy. Nothing I love more than having bush, but it just isn't the thing in clubs. Even male strippers shave everything!

Came back to update. I was curious what the owner of the club in question thought. I don't work there anymore but keep in touch with him. I asked him what he thought of the hair. He said although the freaky hipsters in area that come to the club might like it, he said no to the hair.

I'm definitely just echoing what some others have already mentioned, but i think you'd make a killing within the fetish community-be it through cramming or private parties.
I love how landing strips look, but I just don't have the coordination to maintain one. I couldn't draw a straight line if my life depended on it! The one time I tried a landing strip for work, I ended up making my patch so small (because I felt insecure about 'wearing' hair to work) that most guys thought it was a weird tattoo / mole. I never tried that again!
I also always had a weird thing about leaving any hair on my body for dancing - having hair always made me feel much more exposed than having no hair (weird, right?).

This is actually grossing me out a little, imagining a girl working with a year's worth of armpit hair, getting all sweaty... Ewww.....
I third the fetish suggestion. I'm sure there's somewhere you can advertise.
"People jack off with the left hand and point with the right."
"You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."

What about Portland? Isn't there something for everyone? They even have a vegan SC for pity's sake! I'm sure Don King in someone's armpit is pretty tame.

^ LOL.
To OP: I hope you can find someplace to work without compromising your armpits, though.
disgusting heck nooo! shave everything girl if you want to be a stripper!! its gross I also only leave my landing strip and well groomed/ and hold up wat?? Florida what?? noooo sweeitie (@ monroe2go) I live in Miami Fl and we do not accept that kinda issh here no way will you get hired like that here!! Don't make Fl look bad!! that kusst got me a bit mad... well not really lol but ijs!!!

Bottom line: this is a conformist industry where we all have to sacrifice a bit of our individuality for the sake of money. The au naturel body hair is a very small niche market. Club owners are going to pick what appeals to the mass market vs a niche market. If you want to be a stripper better go for the clipper. Otherwise stick to camming and fetish work.

...and the women who refuse to conform get to retain their individuality, but these are also the girls who sit at the bar every night watching all of the other dancers make money. It's a trade-off.
Even if you start out dancing absolutely determined to be your authentic self, you'll quickly realize that no one in the club environment gives a shit about you as an individual. For better and for worst, stripping is capitalism in its most pure form.
This is a related thread: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...ir-not-popular
Just helps show that this issue isn't only about body hair stigmas...it's about your entire appearance.
Please refrain from unhelpful and judgmental comments like this one. Does a comment like this actually add anything to the discussion?
We all feel differently about body hair based on our unique backgrounds and experiences. I personally wish I lived in a world where women's bodies weren't policed as if they're public property.

I wasn't even going to reply, but rude replies telling the poster that she needs to shave and that she's gross-with horrendous grammar and spelling-are exactly what this thread wasn't supposed to turn into. She might be blond, have fine hair, etc. and getting those specifics instead of insulting her to make an educated suggestion or offer a well-written alternative would have been a more mature and intelligent response. There are ways around shaving that people wouldn't even notice, especially drunk guys in dark clubs.
*End rant*
Op-you can wear a stripper shirt with sleeves and just lift it up to expose your boobs without showing your armpits if the hair is actually visible in strip club light. A higher end club might make you actually take your shirt off every time anyway, but why do that if you don't have to. Just audition. If you find you don't make money or get ignorant comments like the one I quoted, I'd stick to advertising in the fetish section of adult services in your area. Probably not on Backpage, that just tends to be bottom of the barrel, splurge to advertise on Eros, you can charge more. I hope this was helpful, God knows some of the responses haven't been.![]()
That's a great idea! I often wear crop tops and, especially on stage, will just lift it up so my boobs are showing but not take it off all the way because I'm lazy, but this could be a good way to be covert about keeping the armpit hair secret -- at least until you come across a client who is into it. I have had some customers ask/start to pull it off all the way in dances, though certainly not all, so you could theoretically keep it hidden from the majority of customers.
Where do you buy your crop tops? Do they look like these?

It looks like there are all sorts of options out there that could work to hide your armpits...

I just thought of another suggestion, you could trim your underarm hair to the shortest length you're still comfortable with, and bleach the hair.. it will become closer to invisible but you'll still have a little fuzz.
I'm not a huge fan of the tie/super strippery looking ones. I get mine from the local teeny bopper stores. Got a few cute ones from Forever 21 and then similar Canadian versions of that chain. I'm a huge fan of these ones (only $11!): http://www.sirenaz.com/collections/l...eeve-crop-tops and have a ton of colours like this http://images.asos-media.com/inv/med...k/image1xl.jpg

We had a girl come to Scarletts in Hallandale audition. She didn't shave. She had armpit hair and hairy legs as well. She did not get hired but took the opportunity to take a selfie in a mirror in our dressing room and add it to her public instagram. She said she "finally" auditioned and that they liked her but they have too many girls. Not true at all. She also had photos of "free bleeding." Photos of her bloody sheets.
I get some people are into this stuff and like playing with their menstrual blood or painting with it and shit but this type of feminism and message it sends to mend will have them hightailing it out of the club. In our progressively changing world men seek refuge into clubs where with their cash in hand they can buy time/company with a woman who they think (we're acting, after all) are "still" ladies. Armpit hair contradicts all of this in their mind.

I've always worn thigh highs/ knee highs (i have blonde thigh hair) and scrunchie butt shorts I pull into a wedgie (sexy, huh?)if I didn't get around to shaving the snatch. I've always shaved my pits because I like too but I don't see how the sleeved suggestion wouldn't work. Do what ever you want but keep it covered and know you'll lose out on some opportunities you otherwise wouldn't (like taking the shirt off)....I don't know if I'd limit myself that much if I were new but if it's important to you, make it work!
