It's my favorite shift. I used to work nights and weekends, but enjoy the day shift a lot more. You have to find the the shift that works best for your personality. Just give it a try and if you don't like it, switch it up.

Thanks. Glad to hear that! I just knew I was going to hear a lot of negatives about it being slow and regulars

I'm a vampire so feel free to disregard my input. Many moons ago I worked days. I still occasionally wake up "early" (6pm) to help out. I don't do well with this crowd because it's mostly old farts. I do very well with young guys.

Honestly, most of the tips in Hustle Hut are applicable to both the day crowd and the night crowd. The biggest difference is that you generally have to sit around a bit longer chatting, and there can be a great importance placed on cultivating regulars since the club isn't so busy. Read through the Best of thread (stickied at the top of Hustle Hut) and just browse the section. If you run a search for 'day shift' in Hustle Hut and Stripping General, some great threads will come up as well. In particular, you'll want to search for tips on cultivating regulars.

I worked only Friday and Saturday nights for years, but have been working afternoon to early evening shifts for a while now. I actually like it better. The customers at that time are usually older, often retired guys with money vs the young drunk crowds later at night.
I think it's really a personality preference though. Some people thrive off working a large crowd, and others do well when things are a little quieter.
I think if you are working a day shift it's very important to have good regulars though.

there aren't a lot of guys that come in, so when i get a guy out back i reaaalllyy push him to extend or keep getting dances. if im working day shift, its also more of a sit-down and talk to them first kinda thing instead of a real quick " wanna come have some fun with me?" so you'll wanna brush up on your conversational skills and try and cultivate some potential regulars.

Also, I'm used to being the only "white" black girl who listens to country and rock as well as some hip hop. Would it be seen as "weird" for me to dance to country? I say this because if I leave from my part of town, people tend to take a double take of me in my cowboy boots lol. Not that I'm ashamed, I'd. Just like to know what to expect lol
My heritage is comprised of various Latin countries so I understand your predicament. I haven't went in for a job because I haven't had a day off from my other job, but I'm not sure what I'd do if given a choice of music. I listen to everything, inc. country, I just don't think it 'fits' me. I think Jason Aldean's She's Country is a really hot song though. haha

Not a dancer but worked in a club so my opinion may be irrelevant but the old white guys used to eat up the black girls that would dance to music that wasn't hip-hop.

Absolutely. I worked day shift when I first started, and it's basically the same hustle but at a much slower pace. You really need to be a talker and make a good impression with the customers that are there since there aren't usually as many people as there are during night shift. On the plus side, all the customers tend to be lonely older guys, and I found that they're much easier to please in general than the night crowd. Whereas night shift customers can often be rowdy and gross, day shift guys are usually pretty chill and will tip you for your time and buy dances.

And the country music/African American thing could be a huuuge plus or a minus, depending on which guy you're chatting with. At the very least, it'll make you easily recognizable and it'll provide a jumping off point for conversations, which are both a VERY good thing Good luck!

Being in Arkansas if you have teeth you already have the crowd -_-. However there are a LOT of racist hicks there. I lived in Missouri so I used to deal with a lot of that.
