Reminder Paying off debt motivation group!

I thought it might be fun to start a thread for those who have goals to pay off debt. We can post our goals and keep each other motivated throughout the weeks.

Whether it's student loans, credit card debt, or just saving for a large purchase. Let's keep each other motivated! If you've ever read any of Dave Ramsey's books he talks about "snowballing." Start with the lowest debt and get rid of that first and then keep plugging away. http://www.daveramsey.com/article/ge...snowball-plan/

    Here are my goals:
#1 Pay off about $8000 in credit card debt
    #2 Pay off car $10,000
#3 Raise the startup costs needed to start my dream business $20,000

My first goal is to pay off the credit card debt ASAP. I'm moving in about 4 months and would like to have all the CC debt gone so my family can have a "fresh start" after moving. In order to do this I need to make a minimum of $1000 a week caming. I only need to make $800 after taxes to cover the monthly expenses my husbands job doesn't cover so the rest can all be snowballed into paying down that debt. If I meet the $1000 a week goal, I should be able to pay it all off in under 4 months. Then after that's done, focus on paying off the car. I've never been able to pull off $1000 a week caming, but I also haven't put in as many hours as I could be. It'll take some serious dedication and motivation.

Let's see what we can accomplish together ladies! Post your goals.

Oh, also OP I never use to make $1000 per week camming either, but now I do! For me it's all about putting in the hours, having a schedule and treating it like any other full time job. You can do it!

I'm so for this. :] Considering I'm about 10K down the hole in medical debt. It'd be nice to not have any when I move in a year.

I need around 5k to pay something off and then I need another 2k to buy something I need. I always like to go up on what I need, just to make sure I have enough and then some. So my goal is coming up with $10,000 total. That is just a first goal for now.

I'm busy a lot now due to working so much. Will post when I can.
