Default Looking to get very, VERY dark with self-tanner.

I have tried many self-tanners. They all give me some color, but not the dark brown shade that I get with tanning in tanning beds, which I don't do anymore.

I have tried Sunlabs, Tanwise, Banana Boat, as well as pretty much every drugstore self-tanner available. They always add some color, but not as much as I would like. I'm looking for the darkest self-tanner available.

I just ordered Fake Bake Flawless and Sun Goddess and am going to try those two, but what self-tanner have you had the best results with that got you really, really dark with?

    Thanks. (:

i've always gotten VERY dark with the sally hansen airbrush self tanners in their darker shades, while putting on a good self tanner to form a base first.
i don't really do expensive self tanners, but that's been my experience.

I'm naturally ghostly pale, and I used to self tan year round. I LOVED Fake Bake because it was easy to apply and smells really good. I usually went for the lighter shades and built it up since streaks stood out horribly on me. One of my friends, who has olive skin and is naturally darker than I am, had great results with the sally hansen airbrush that simone mentioned. She always looked really bronzed and it can out nice and even.

^I'm using St. Tropez right now. It's good but it comes off when you sweat and begins to look uneven, but I sweat a lot at work so it may be just be.

Avry, my advice is to tan on a bed maybe once a week or a few times at the beginning of the month just to get a base tan and then do self-tanners or mystic or spray tanning from there. That was how I got the darkest and managed to not look orange. I do think you can get a darker, better color with spray/mystic tanning, and it's more even and less streaky. I'm very pale and in my experience you can really only get so tan with self-tanners if you're pale because at some point you are going to start getting streaks cause you have so much on or you're going to start looking orange. I apply St. Tropez everyday and to be honest I'm still not happy with my tan, I would love to be darker but I can't find a good tanning salon in London.

Best stuff bar none is norvelle one. It will process in 1 hour. Warning if you're not versed in self tanning be very careful it comes out like the sparayers they use in tanning salons and gets all over everything but I get spray tanned before a trip and scrub off and use this once. That's it and tan in the bed the day before I spray and I'm black all week. It's like 60 but totally woth it because it's the only thing on the marketwith the same % of DHA as what they spray you with.

Have you heard of melanotan? There's a long thread on here about it. I've used it several times with great results.

Xen Tan in Dark was my favorite before I got too lazy to keep up. I'm very pale and it gave me dark but natural, non streaky results. It processed quickly and smelled pretty good. Worth the splurge.
