I've not danced for ages, having been self employed for 3 years+ . And there is no two ways about it, I'm fat! I put it down to a mix of psychiatric meds, borderline hypothyroidism caused by long term lithium use and , I admit it, generally eating badly and not moving enough.
I'm a size 12 at the moment and I danced at a size 10 before. But I'd really like to be a size 8 which would suit my hourglass shape without losing my boobs. I bought a waist cincher so I'm going to see if I could get away with that and start now but a waist cincher can only do so much!
I figure it would take a loss of 60 pounds to get there which seems insurmountable but I know it can be done with the right diet and exercise regime. I'm keen not to get stretchmarks/sagging so 2-3 lbs a week is ideal.
My diet just now: 1,500 cals a day
My exercise just now: yoga and Pilates twice a week
my weight loss now: 0 lbs/week
So, right away I see I need to up my exercise to include more cardio. But as for diet, I'm at a loss. I'm a vegetarian and find it hard to stay away from carbs if that helps with suggestions. Also, I can't cook
I know I could get hired in my local dive now because when I worked there before there was a woman who was at least a size 18 and she made some money. But I observed she was perhaps the token "roly poly" stripper the stag do's would buy a dance for the stag as a joke.
I don't want to be a joke.
So if you have any suggestions on how I can get on a sensible weight loss plan without resorting to illegal diet pills/horse asthma medication (been there done that) please do share.

, so when you do loose some weight it will be really flattering!
!). If you can afford it, hire a PT at your local gym for motivation and direction-even if it's only for a few weeks, they will help you to get motivated, show you what to do and how to do it etc. There are heaps of motivational pages on social media sites like instagram etc. It's fun to follow people who inspire you and have already been on their own, successful weight loss journey. They show that it IS possible!
