I notice if I eat anything where the primary ingredient is a dairy product, that my skin breaks out HORRIBLY.
Do any of you ladies notice that if you eat specific foods or ingredients that your skin hates you for it later?

I realised recently that caffeine was behind my cystic acne. I used to drink energy drinks and coffee every day but gave it up because of anxiety, and now my skin is smooth!
I had acne for at least 13 years and tried everything bar Accutane. So yay for me![]()

That's awesome, grats!
It sounds crazy but my skin looks great when I'm eating lots of high fat and greasy foods. LOL, but then I get fat so... I do eat a lot of healthy fats to try to keep it clear but nothing works as good as the junk does.
I have weird skin though. It's acne prone but also extremely dry.

it's weird, but i've always had a smooth skin and now that i change my diet into a vegetarian one, cutting out the fats, drinking like lots of water, my skin breaks out. Maybe bc i'm eating too much fruit... idk :/

Refined sugar and dairy. Especially when they're combined (e.g. ice cream, milkshakes).

Shrimp - it never fails! After eating any amount of shrimp within the day I get itchy pustules on my face. I love shrimp, too. However, I definitely limit my consumption of it. Also, if I eat too much bread/wheat-based products my skin (and digestive system) go haywire, too. I'm transitioning into a wheat-free (well severely limited) diet.
Sodas are really the only thing that break me out. Though if I make sure that I balance it with lots of water, which I should be doing anyway, then I don't break out as much~~~

If it breaks you out that badly, your body is telling you that it doesn't agree with you (it's trying to deal with having it in it's system-much like our bodies try to break down the toxins in alcohol etc). Cut down on dairy, or cut it out of your diet entirely. There are heaps of dairy alternatives out there these days i.e. cashew cheese, almond milk, dairy free chocolate, dairy free protein powder etc

Orange Juice gives me spots!

Dr pepper, not other sodas. I don't know whats different in it, but it always breaks me out.

everything
Admire her if you will, but imitate her never, said the parents to the enamored children.

the common denominator seems tobe sugar, dairy and gluten. some people just arent meant to eat those ingredients; like me. combine that with the way food is processed these days and you get why u have acne. also look out for food with gmos from a company named monsanto. they have control over tons of food companies. even the vegetarian ones are in their pocket. gmos have been known to cause cancer and infertility in rats. im trying to spread the word!!! skip chain restaurants and go patron local mom and pop ones [they may use higher quality ingedients]. find local farms in your place and buy from them. dont eat foods with chemicals you cant pronounce. organic maybe more expensive but your body will thank you. If you eat fish detox your liver with dandelion root. eat beets; known to be a blood purifier. Ask me anything about health and I'll help you as best as I can.
The only way to get rid of a temptation is to indulge in it...
~I have no roots. I stay away from groups and communities. I wander, an itinerant lone wolf. I have nowhere to go back to. I either burn the bridges or keep walking. I never look back. I detach and vanish. In my mind, I am not human. I am a machine at the service of a madman that snatched my body and invaded my being when I was very young~
Coffee enemas are an option for those looking to detox their livers, too. Hardcore!
I swear, these make my skin glow (2T coffee + 6 cups H2O + http://www.amazon.com/Right-Enema-fo...keywords=enema). Whenever my skin starts to break out (whether from food or hormonally), I do one of these, hold it for 25-30 min (it make take a few times before you can hold it this long), and expel it. Drink plenty of water throughout the rest of the day. The Gerson Institute even uses them to treat cancer. Just make sure you don't overdo these - a couple of times a week works well if you're detoxing. Be sure you're consuming plenty of electrolytes and minerals from natural sources to replenish your system and stave off dehydration.
Kind of icky, I know, but after spending my teens with horrible acne, I'll do anything to have glowing, perfect skin!

^I remember my co-workers being addicted to enemas when I was a baby stripper. You could always tell when a certain girl had gone to the 'spa', because her skin would be astoundingly radiant!

Pasteurized dairy breaks me out. Tried raw milk kind with no hormones or antibiotics and it gave me the worst bloating. My body really does hate dairy.
Cheap peanut butter and non organic peanuts makes me break out. The organic good stuff doesn't kill my pores. Thank God, bc I really do love me some PB.

MARIJUANA. Sucks. I've radically reduced how much pot I smoke and it's been great for my skin (used to get high every day, now maybe once every two weeks). Combination of chemical imbalance that occurs when smoking weed + insatiable munchies = acne.
Right before my period I used to break out badly, I've found a great herbal supplement to take that's been working wonders. Vitex AKA Chasteberry -- balances estrogen : progesterone ratio. I take 3 capsules a day, a day or two before I'm about to start, and I barely break out if at all.
Unsophisticated in the finest sense of the word.

checked out that if i stop eating healthier and regular and bla, I lose weight and my skin goes smother... But I really think are the carbs. So bad I'm trying to go vegan :/

Sugar,fat food, fried food, chocolate.
But the biggest problem is a humility!!!!!

i went from eating crappy, junk and a bunch of sweets but clear skin for the past few months to "dieting", eating mostly "super foods" for a couple weeks and bam-adult acne came back. not sure what thats all about since you usually hear that eating crappy breaks you out. Needless to say i got depressed and started eating crappy again then about 4 days later my skin starts clearing up.
When people start eating healthily, they begin to lose weight, and many toxins are stored in fat cells that are then released after a change in diet. Your liver might be overloaded trying to process all of the compounds that are beginning to come out of the adipose tissue. It's also possible that your body has adapted to eating poorly, and you experience hormone changes when you start to eat differently. I could be wrong, but I'd guess that your skin would clear up after a few months of eating healthily.
The long-term health benefits of eating nutritious foods severely outweigh the short-term inconvenience of having acne. That said, working in the sex industry changes things. I understand how acne can affect confidence and income, so I'm not judging!

I have a different sort of problem. Eating salty foods or drinking salty drinks causes me to break out ... of my BRA ! With my 'bagless' string implants, my boobs retain water like crazy. Binging on an all night Margarita-fest will cause my bustline to expand by 2 inches the next day !!!
