'Random' Astronomy ? Or something beyond ?

I've done a little research on this, and it is pretty fascinating.
Yes, there have been "Blood Moon Tetrads" that coincide with important events and holidays. That is undeniable. BUT, a lot of times these "prophetic events" just end up becoming an embarrassment. For example, the Jupiter effect in 1982. The Hale-bop comet. The Y2k computer crisis. And most recently, the Mayan Calendar theory that the world would end on December 21, 2012.
I know many of ya'll have lived through at least a few of these hyped up prophecies just to wake up the following day to a world unchanged...only time will tell, I suppose.
I am signed up for a website that notifies me of when cool stuff is going on in the sky, and I take my son outside and show him with my telescope. If anything, it should be a pretty spectacular thing to see! When I received an email regarding the "Blood Moon", it said that the moon is actually going to appear to be a nice shade of pink!

Yes, I've actually seen this, the last moon phase. Pretty, it was a red shade when i saw it

It's gonna be a pink stripper moon. Gonna wish upon a multiple hour vip room with a fat tip, & 5 great loyal regulars.

It was pretty! I am fortunately in one of the cities that got a nice view, so I was pretty happy. I hope the rest of you guys in New England, etc. who couldn't see it get a chance to check out one of the next upcoming ones. It's pretty spectacular !!
