    Default dying your eyebrows?

I just recently went from copper blonde/auburn highlighted hair to an allover, golden/strawberry blonde. I haven't done full color in years, I've always stuck to highlights-- I have super dark hair naturally, like basically black, so my eyebrows are quite dark. With the highlights it never bothered me because some of my natural hair color was still in there, but with the all over color my eyebrows just look SO dark to me now. There are some highlights (or lowlights I guess as they're darker) in my hair right now (nothing as dark as my eyebrows) so I was thinking of dying my eyebrows to that color.

Do any of you girls have experience dying your eyebrows? Is it something you can do yourself or do you need to go to a salon? Did you feel like it looked natural or weird?

I dye eyebrows professionally as a service. It takes 3 minutes for the color to set.so super fast and easy. You can do it yourself but like everything it might be better for a pro to do it(depending on what pro lol). It costs anywhere from 10-25 dollars.(depending on where you go)And lasts about a month. Sometimes it looks crazy if they use the wrong color(too dark) but you can blend colors to get your own shade.

Also id like ime to say it only works on the hair(obviously) and does nothing for changing shape(again obv.) so you should def by your new shade in a brow shadow, gel, pencil.

you can also think about getting your eyelashes dyed at the same time. It really looks nice if you have light lashes. It sets in 10 minutes but it's one of those things like why not I'm already here. It's in the same price range.

i think eyebrows look best a little bit darker than your hair, but i see what you mean with the red hair/dark eyebrows. definitely get it professionally done unless you are a pro!

^I agree they should always be darker, but mine are just like black basally and my hair is strawberry blonde so it looks a bit odd, basically it's this color (I like her eyebrows thought I might want to stay a tad darker):

I've been penciling them in really thick lately so I didn't do that today and it definitely looked better, but I feel like lighting them just a couple shades would look more natural? I dunno, partly I was worried as well because my eyelashes are also super so thanks Twinkle Toes I didn't know you could to that as well! Would like a hair salon be the best place to go or more like somewhere you'd get a wax?

Any spa type place or salon you feel comfortable with. I was thinking about this last night after I posted. If your hair is way lighter then your brows you might want to consider using a bleaching cream before dying them. The dye would only tint the dark color of your brows a different color. It can bring up brows to a darker color but not lighter. Just like normal hair. No one I know bleaches brows we just tint. I mean I could do it but it's not really something a people get.

So bleach first. You can find stuff at like cvs. Then add the amber/ash mix to your brows maybe even a little soft brown so they're not too light.

I bleach mine with cream facial bleach. My eyebrows are naturally black. Leaving it on about eight minutes = natural redhead. Fifteen minutes = natural blonde.

Sally's sells a kit that will dye your brows darker. You just dip a q tip in solution 1, apply, then a new q tip in solution 2, apply, wait a couple minutes. It doesn't lighten them but I figured I'd just throw that out there for anyone wanting darker eyebrows or just to cover up greys. It costs like fifty cents a treatment.

Thanks guys! I called my hair salon and unfortunately they don't do it but I found another hair place that does (don't want to just go to a nail salon) so I'm getting it done tomorrow!

I did mine when I was a redhead - the salon just put a bit of the color on my eyebrows toward the end of applying it to my hair - no huge change but just a shade of the color looked nice

edited - the color was redkin - terra cotta

I just tinted my eyebrows 2 days ago ( dark brown ) with a kit i bought for like 10 bucks in rite aid and am pleased with the results , although i had to do it twice for it to fully acheive the look I wanted .
