Can anyone recommend a really great xylitol natural toothpaste and alcohol free mouthwash that actually work? I have heard and read that traditional toothpaste and wash are actually terrible and contribute to bad breath ugh
Any suggestions?

Tom's, Jason, and Wholefoods/Harry's and Trader Joes sells their own brand. Jason is my fave BC they have one with ginger that leaves my breathe really fresh and not as pasty as Tom's. I use these BC there's no fluoride, sugar or other bad/unknown ingredients in them. I have friends who use just regular Listerine type mouthwash to brush their teeth with and they say it's great. The alcohol is actually good BC it is an antiseptic; the problem is that most mouthwashes with alcohol are also loaded with sugars and/or artificial sweeteners and they both cause tooth decay if I'm not mistaken. If that is your concern with the mouthwash, your best bet is an antiseptic mouthwash from one of the aforementioned health stores or the gold colored stuff like old people use. Kinda gross, but they know their stuff!!

Using Tom's for yeas, cause the regular stuff hates my gums

get to the dentist for a cleaning every so often, you do not want to meet the periodontist and discover the wonder of root planing

another vote for tom's from maine. i also try and get toothpaste without fluoride in it , and tom's is perfect!

For mouthwash, I like Sensodyne Pronamel Fluoride Rinse, no alcohol

i can't really seem to notice a difference betweeb brands of toothpastes.. but the thing that works wonders for me, is washing with baking soda !... just dab your wet toothbrush in baking soda, and wash your teeth with it. rinse.. the taste might be something you need to take your time to get used to it, but i swear by it !
