I have a 26.5" rib cage and 37.5 at the most I've also had a bust of 36.5 normally 35' at the smallest. What bra size would I be?

Well, best thing to do is get professionally measured at Victoria's Secret or other bra store..you really can't accurately measure yourself. Also, manufacturer's sizes can vary too so you may be one size in one brand, another size in a different brand.

Victoria's Secret has said all sorts of things initial at 35" I was told I was some sort of A cup 32 or 34. Never been measured more than a 32C though.
I haven't been able to fit the cups of a 32C since I was 35"z. I look online and I'm always told my band is too small. So I'm lost either way.

Ok, well you should try a bra specialty fitting store..may take some looking but you can find them. Try googling the bra whisperer, seriously. There's a chain of shops (I don't know the name, or if they're nationwide or not) they had some lady using that title..or you just have to look for a specific place that does bra fitting/sales. Good luck.

Based on a 26.5" underbust measurement and a 36" bust measurement, you should try the following sizes, however, depending on how high end the lingerie store you are shopping in, there will be a different sizing system used by the company. Typically the "chain" lingerie stores and department stores follow the "old" sizing system from the 60s. This sizing system is fine if you are up to a c/d cup, anything over, I highly recommend sticking to the "new" sizing system, which will offer more support for the girls, and is used in the higher end boutiques. Sometimes even after being fitted you may find a sister size has a better fit for you. (Sister size is essentially a bra for the same breast size but with slightly different distribution of room in the band/cup). To find your sister size you go up a cup size for every band size you go down, or down a cup size for each increase in band size. For example, 34C=32D=30DD.
Old Size:
Band=Underbust+ 4-5" to get an even number
Cup=Bust-Band (1=A, 2=B, 3=C, 4=D, etc)
You:
Band=27(rounding)+5"
=32
Cup=36-32
=4
=D
Therefore, 32D
New Size:
Band=Underbust+ 1-2" to get an even number
Cup=Bust-Band
You:
Band=27(rounding)+1"
=28
Cup=36-28
=8
=H
Therefore, 28H
Honestly, it really depends on how you feel/look in a variety of bras, this is just a starting point and I reccommend you try on a variety of brands and also try one size up/down from the size you get based on your measurements because a lot of lingerie fitting is really honestly trial and error.

I go by what "feels" comfortable - the size that the fitters say I should wear cuts into me and hurts -

standard formula says 32D or DD depending on whether you are above or below the 36" mark on bust measurement.
Vicki tends to follow 'vanity' sizing, so if you plan on shopping there go with the DD.
