Do you as a dancer present a big smile when going on main stage? I don't mean when a customer comes up to tip you on stage. I mean just as soon as you walk out on stage, do you express a smile?

no. i should probably work on that..maybe its a slight smirk. but i hope you're not one of those guys who likes to go " smile beautiful!" or something equally as annoying. nothing more obnoxious than that. i just don't find wearing a big joker grin all the time to be do-able for me.

I usually smile sometimes but like to keep my seductive face on. Lol... But if I'm making eye contact with a guy then I smile and usually that makes him feel invited.

Smiling and making eye contact is important in my opinion, but not so it seems really forced or fake. Some dancers are sensual and sultry, so they often only smile when approached, approaching a customer or trying to encourage interest from customers at the bar etc.

"True sexiness has many facets-confidence, strength, intelligence, and humor. It isn’t just about trying to look sexy; it’s an art and one becomes skillful in it when she realizes that there are all these conflicting elements that all come together to make something magical"-Dita Von Teese

I can't help it but I'm usually smiling for all the wrong reasons lol. Like thinking about Silence of the Lambs and giggling.

I always smile. Stage, floor, bar, whatever.

I need to work on smiling on stage. I get this really intense expression when I do pole tricks. I think less pole tricks and more smiling would do me a favour when I go back!

Absolutely. A smile is much more inviting than an serious face. 90% smiles, 10% sexy face.

But in my case who the hell looks at my face anyhow?![]()

Apparently I always have a huge perma-smile on stage. Even on the worst days when I seriously don't think I'm smiling, according to everyone else I still am. I find it annoying.
Even when I was a N.A. contest dancer, I used to get massive points docked for my perma-smile. So it's always been a problem for me.

No. I don't look bored, pissy, annoyed , etc., but you're not gonna see me smiling till I get tipped .

Interesting how women use smiles differently, from the non-smiling sultry-and-mysterious, to bright smile I'm-sweet-and-happy-and-approachable, to girls who dole out smiles judiciously it's-a-special-gift-to-you-and-you-have-to-earn-it. About the only thing that never works for me is when a stripper has an obviously fake plastic smile, that edges her towards my Avoid List.
I have a fave who doesn't smile much on stage, she has mastered the rarely-smiling sultry sex goddess. But often she'll lock eyes with me for a few seconds, then slowly break into a bright genuine smile over the next few seconds, then coyly turn away. The effect is one of "I don't want to smile, but when I look at you I can't look away and can't help but smile". It is fucking brilliant, even knowing it's a hustle, it melts me every time. She may be falling in love with my wallet

Not really. I mostly close my eyes and try and look sensual, touch my body and whatnot... if I make eye contact with someone then it's more of a seductive smile than a grin.
I hate customers who tell me to smile, like I was to rape them with a rusty hacksaw... let's see you dance on stage for 12 minutes and smile the whole fucking time, that shit is painful! Honestly I smile so much when I'm speaking to customers that sometimes my mouth hurts at the end of the night.

Of course, it's the most important part of my stage show.

I used to smile almost all the time when I was dancing.

My lips naturally kinda curl down, so if I don't smile, a lot of the times people tell me I look bored or ask me why I'm mad! Lol..I'm blonde and no matter what I wear or how I do my makeup, I feel like I make more on stage when I'm grinning and flirting because many people seem to expect the "fun blonde girl next door" archetype from me. The sexy/sultry thing doesn't usually make me much money, but strutting around and twerking while smiling like a curvy Barbie usually works.
Reasons to![]()
:
-I think I read on one of those stripper manual type sites that the face that WE think is "sexy" is usually interpreted as "angry" or at best, "bored" in the male mind. (Basically a sexyface can be ambiguous to men, but a smile means "she really likes me" or "she's having a great time")
-Smiling tells your brain that you are happy, even if you're pissed, bored, etc!! Silently practice your self love and abundance mantras to that when you're on stage, and see $$.
-A smile shows you are confident!! (This is what attracts high spenders/aligns your next dance or VIP..everyone in the room wants to be with you!)
-Grinning on stage can help you cover up blunders if you fall or do something awkward. (And that's a biggie with the lady tippers.)
-Smiling + holding eye contact=VIP prep.
-When a new custie comes in and sees your sexy smile and you grab his attention with your eyes, he'll know exactly where to go!
Get that $$$, ladies!

Nope. I used to but after noticing that I make more money when I'm in a bored "I want to go home" kind of mood I realized it was actually hurting my sales.
I also have one of those mouths that naturally turn down. When I'm relaxed, people often think I'm angry. My theory is that a big smile just doesn't look natural on my face. It makes me come across as fake. I go with a more serious, sultry look and I wink at people to keep it playful. When I do smile, I do it with my mouth open so I give the impression of a bigger smile without it looking fake. I also cover my mouth and giggle which seems to work well.
I wish I had a better smile. I have great teeth and I've spent hours practicing but I just don't have a good smile. It's annoying. Even having my lips done doesn't help. I'd need surgery on the corners of my mouth and I'm not really willing to do that. I just work around it.
I smile if I make eye contact, but I'm not going to be up there grinning like an idiot for no reason.

If it were me up there I would have a really hard time smiling. Especially if it was a bunch of cheap motherfuckers, or guys sitting at the rail not tipping, holding out the dollar for maximum pussy show, whatthefuckever.
But I do notice the ones who smile more tend to make more money. Usually, but I've seen a few girls who didn;t smile much who still banked. More the serious vampire girl types.
To me part of my job is to talk to the girls as much as the customers, try to keep them smiling or laughing at a joke, and of course I want them to like the music & so move better and a lot of times you will get the special little smiles for that reason alone.
