Default Big forehead- hair transplants or hairline lowering surgery.

I have a really high forehead and want it lowered about an inch so I don't look like a freak if I don't wear bangs. Being able to go bang-free for once in my life would be nice.

Does anyone have any experience in this? Which would be a better decision: hair transplants or hairline-lowering surgery? I keep reading that the surgery's better but I want to get some opinions on the patient side of things.

I have a very big forehead. Get yourself some bangs; problem solved.

I have had bangs all my life, don't want to be stuck with them for the rest of eternity, and want to be able to go a day without blow-drying my hair + still feel comfortable in public.

is it like..rihanna big? or more? tyra banks big? i have a very large forehead as well, but its actually a sign of youth and femininity!
i would go with the least intrusive procedure if you really want to do it.

In studies of ideal facial proportions, it is said that the forehead of a woman should take up 30% of her face. In high fashion ads like Louis Vuitton, their models have foreheads that take up as much as 40% of their face.
"High" foreheads are a sign of beauty ! Babies and children have high foreheads , so having a high forehead is also associated with youth!

If you want to have some sort of procedure to fix it, that's your decision. Having a high forehead is one of those beauty features that tends to get overlooked because everyone is getting fuller lips, cheek implants, etc. You may want to rethink this....

I have a relatively large forehead and I love it. It's not so large that it detracts from my beauty, but large enough to draw attention to my beautiful face. Centuries ago, it was common for women in Europe to thread their hairlines to make their foreheads bigger because it was feminine and youthful (as others have mentioned). Also, so many models and even actresses have large foreheads. It draws attention to the face and gives it youth. Besides when I was a young kid, I've only gotten bangs once as an adult and I didn't like them at all because they hid my forehead.

Sorry if I can't be of much help to your initial question. If you absolutely hate your forehead, I'd go with the hair lowering surgery - just find a reputable surgeon and ask him/her some questions, they'll have a world of info that most of us girls here wouldn't be able to tell you. The surgeons are the experts, so find a good one and consult!

    Good luck!
