Default Just got my first stripping job :)

I just had my first ever audition and got the job. :) I'm starting on Saturday, right now I'm scheduled Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday from 12-5. The club I'm going to be working at is pretty small and I have to work days for the time being so I'm nervous that I won't be able to make much money. I also need to buy outfits because I only have one! But overall I'm pretty excited. I'm curious though, do you guys think it would help or hurt telling customers that I'm new? I mean, I've literally only danced once for my audition, and I guess I wasn't terrible since I got hired, but I'm sure I probably still look kinda awkward. Should I play up the whole "oh it's my first day" thing to try and excuse some of my awkwardness or just try to seem like I have some idea what I'm doing?

Depending on your skills they will be able to smell fresh meat (and see it) without you saying a word. Sorry but n00bs are easy to spot lol. Milk the new girl money while you can. Eventually fresh meat starts to rot and then you're stuck in Stripper Purgatory. (Not the hot new novelty anymore but not established enough to cultivate regulars)

On that note dayshifts tend to be very slow paced and regulars oriented. I would caution you against stepping on toes.
If you see a dancer sitting with someone avoid that customer like the plague. The quickest way to make enemies is to step on the vet's toes especially on a slow paced dayshift.

The dive hustle thread might help you out: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...-Hustle-Thread

Don't use the "it's my first day" thing to excuse awkwardness - use it to sell dances!! Lots of men like being a dancer's first (they don't have to know that they're really the second, third, fourth, fifth, etc...milk it for a few shifts). "Today's my first day...let's go work on my moves in private ::giggle::." If you're younger, play up the fresh-faced, wide-eyed newb angle - though be careful using this with potential predators, as they may try to take advantage of you. If you're older, play up the "I've only been in clubs as a customer...it's such a turn-on to be on the other side..." angle (for example).

As tempest mentioned, day shift does tend to be a slower hustle with more club regulars. So be sure to only make good impressions on the customers who are there - they may be friends with management or with the dancers, and they likely talk to the other club regulars. Good and bad news travels quickly in small clubs. Be polite and cautious about stepping on other dancers' toes (any guy you approach may be a girl's regular).

My experience: small club= BIG drama. Buy a pair of headphones and don't talk to anyone (unless spoken to) Keep your answers vague and be friendly but aloof. I don't know how old you are but I'm going to guess in the 18-25 range. Not all veterans are bitches but the ones "past their prime" will single you out and try to sabotage you. Seen it time and again.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. And charlie61, I'm definitely saving that thread!

It's also good to know about avoiding other girls' regulars, I didn't think about that and I definitely don't want to piss anyone off my first day.

Don't overthink this too much. Go in, have fun but remember just because you're getting naked doesn't mean you shouldn't treat this as a job. You'll be fine!

You'll find out pretty quickly if a regular is into someone else. Some guys will just tell you they are waiting for so-and-so. If you aren't sure, look for signs that he is already with another girl, such as her handbag or drink left at the table while she gets on stage. Eventually you are going to want to talk to those guys. Many of them are open to being poached away from their regular girl. You just have to go about it very...delicately...to avoid confrontation.

I've been in the biz almost 17 years, and I still feel like I need to practice my hustle and club etiquette. You really do have to learn this job on the fly. You'll figure it out soon enough. Congrats and good luck!
