Default Rant- Theives at work. . . sick of dealing with these women.

Gah I know it is my own fault for leaving my things out, or around. But I hate that i work in an enviorment where you can't trust almost anyone. I leave a hair straightener out of my locker to cool down.... and it goes missing. I leave my dance bag on a bench because the office is locked and i have to get onto the floor...someone steals ALL OF MY UNDERWEAR..and a few outfits.

Last night I left my bag on a bench for less than 2 min and i have a 100 dollar bill go missing. Now they didnt take my 20s or my 50 just my 100. It is completely my fault I understand. I just hate that I have to feel constantly on guard and have my things glued to my side in my place of employment. We all make enough money on average that we don't have to steal. Grrr.... okay end rant.

before any negative feedback I fully take responsibility that it is MY FAULT my things have gone missing. I know I shouldn't leave them out. It is just frustrating to have to be so guarded constantly at work......

thankfully I work in a club where no one dares to steal anything from anyone. The boss ALWAYS has a way of finding out who it was and when he does, they get the sack. But if you work in that kind of environment, it can't be helped, just lock your stuff away and problem solved.

I know what you mean, ugh. I was working at this club once where they were too full for me to get a locker and I had no option for somewhere safe to put my stuff. Some girl actually went in and stole my drivers license and my debit card from my purse. I'm guessing she probably wanted to try to steal my identity or she was just a bitch that wanted to make my life difficult which wouldn't surprise me with some of the messed up stuff I have seen girls do to each other. I have also had my street clothes, thongs, etc stolen from me. The weird thing is I am always told I am one of the nicest people and I don't mess with anyone which is how I do try to be but for some reason bitches seem to fuck with me more because of it :/

OMG sQRLBBY I FEEL your frustration and I deal with that same crap at my club.
Girls will steal your undies if you give them the opportunity and it is just plain grossly disgusting.
One girl stole my phone and that just did it for me because it wasn't the value of my phone that I cared or but all my stuff that was in it. I found out who did it thankfully by google+ that dumb hoe had took pictures of herself on my phone which was connected to my google account which I looked up. I swear I wanted to split her face open... but instead got her fired
We are all there for the same reason why steal from one another I mean come on are they crackhead strippers where they cant afford their own freakin deoderant, lipstick, wipes etc...???

best thing to do is try to get a cute small suitcase with a lock and keep all your cash on your person phone aswell

    freakin hate that shitt!

Girl, it's never your fault for someone else's actions. Yes, you could have been more cautious, but that doesn't redirect the blame to you.

The only time I've had something stolen was a $10 hairbrush that this chick asked me, "OMG is that a Mason Pearson? Are they as good as the hype?" I left the brush out and an hour later it was gone. LOL. Wonder who took it!

Not your fault at all. Unfortunately while we all want to trust people we work with, this is the one industry where people tend to be bitches and assholes who steal. It's not limited to dancers either, I've had DJ's steal CDs and even managers who were known to steal. The stupidest thing I got stolen was my hairbrush. Who would even think of taking that? This is why I went out and bought a suitcase with a lock or carried very little into the club and kept the rest either always on me or in my car. At one club there were no lockers and many dancers were druggies (and known to steal)so I carried in some makeup (for freshups)and other basic things and kept them in a purse I carried around. I walked in wearing the outfit I was going to wear and kept my regular outfit and shoes in the trunk of my car. I would then either drive home wearing what I wore or dress in my car after my shift.

Yeah, this's so on point^..I've had a nice turtleneck top stolen, (had to leave in winter wearing my coat w/nothing underneath on top)
This one place a girl I worked with left, & forgot her cd's which I managed to get..the manager thought another girl's cd's (who still worked there) were hers (she'd had a fling w/him & he was pissed when she got another boyfriend) threw a bunch of the innocent girl's cd's in the GARBAGE

I had a girl steal a sandwich from me on Tuesday... yes, a fucking sandwich! And I already eaten half of it! I went out on the floor to come back to find my avocado bloomer from Pret A Manager destroyed and devoured thrown on the floor by the trash can. If I hadn't been so STARVING I would have found it more comedic.

That is the weirdest thing I have ever had stolen from me. Apparently this girl ate everyone's food, and one girl had noodles and and she stuck the box of plastic container back in her bag and the oil dripped all over her stripper stuff.... I would have killed a bitch for that. The house mom fired her the next day.

about a year and a half ago, i came back into the dressing room and my brand new pink sneakers were ruined.well, one of them..some girl had pissed in one of them, and stolen my new VS perfume and hair straightener. i think i know which girl it was, and i had accidentally dared to speak to her regular.
just pathetic..like, you don't make enough to buy your own 10 dollar conair hair straightener?sad

It's annoying when stuff like this happens . At least they didn't steal your real shoes forcing you to leave wearing your stripper ones lol (that's happened to me)!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who deals with this. I mean I've been doing well so 100 wasn't breaking the bank... But damn.i did have my shoes stolen once!! I had to go home barefoot in November in Minnesota, yuck, lol. Jokes on her... I was a nurse and that day those shoes were puked and pooped on. Oh and I was wearing them barefoot all day. Gross.

Yeah, I've had some bitch steal $50 from my garter, once. My head was turned towards a customer, but then I felt a tug at my garter, and by the time I turned to see who tugged me, she was gone. I think I know who it was, but I can't be 100% sure. I guess she was really desperate that night, that she had to rip me off. So pathetic.

I now keep my money close to me, at all times. I never keep my hand away from my money, and I place my money towards the inside of my thigh, instead of on the outside.

I keep a small purse with me at all times with my most important stuff in it. I don't have a locker, but I never bring more than two outfits with me. Since I work in a bikini bar, I wear the top part of my outfit under my clothes to work.

My other outfit, food and make-up are vulnerable, I guess. I also wear the most plain, unfashionable clothes to work, so hopefully they won't be tempted to take them.

    Everything else stays on me.

A good house mom can make all the difference with this sort of thing. At the last place I worked one of the house moms was fantastic. She pretty much stayed in the dressing room the whole time and actually kept an eye on people's stuff and wouldn't tolerate girls being mean to each other. That was one of the only places I worked where stealing and general bitchiness wasn't too much of a problem.

I'm kinda freaked out right now. Last night when I went back to the dressing room to get to my locker, the locker was already opened! I always lock it and spin the combo wheel several times over to ensure noone can break in or try to undo the lock. But someone had opened my locker and just left it open like that. MY money was in there! I do not feel safe that someone has done this. The only ones I know who can do this are managers. I think one of the managers was trying to snoop into my locker! So I am going to secure my money even better...perhaps locked away inside another tinier locker that he must also then break into? I can't believe I even have to be wary and cautious of MANAGERS!

I work with a bunch of stoners. This happens all the time, LOL! Any food left on a plate is like, "Hey, look! Free buffet!"

I can see money walking away if left unattended. Our club is mostly house girls, but we get the occasional traveling dancer who hangs around for 1-3 shifts. It's at those times when stuff usually disappears.

Wear tall boots & stuff your money in them all night long.
Get ready at home & only take lip gloss & powder to work.

Only take one outfit & wear it all night.

Give them as less stuff to steal as possible.

Danced for 14 years, never once had a single thing stolen, cause I never trusted anyone. Never left anything out for them to steal. NEVER once was my money not on my body. I never put it in a bag or locker.

Used to work when they had about 150 girls on the floor at night. I was friendly, but never to friendly.

Then spend NO time in the dressing room, spend it all on the floor hustling. I never counted my money at the club either. Went home in my boots & then once on my bedroom floor pour all of it out.

    Stay safe,
    Sam

Who the f*** would steal underwear?!?!?!! SMFH. I haven't gotten anything stolen from me yet because I make sure I put my stuff in front on the extremely observant houseparents view. Management knows I will raise hell if someone does.

Girl I feel you some of the bitches we work with are just straight up crazy...better to be safe than sorry. Tonight after a shit slow shift I left my bag on a table in the dressing room for like twenty minutes before I realised it was missing, again, like you said, my bad for leaving my things around...but this club, I've been here for a year, not had so much as a baby wipe go missing but today about $150 was gone from my bag when I came back in to fetch it...my 50s and a 20 or 2 I counted just before I took off and left my wallet...stilll. I have a friend that works the same bar, keeps her money in her locker and doesn't lock it, never had a dime stolen, but yeah, you can never be too careful. I'm debating investing in one of those ankle wallets. Pretty much impossible to lose track of even for a second, and apparently that's all it takes when you work with a couple desperate bitches....
