Default How can I make my hair appear "fuller"?

Hi. My hair is getting pretty long, but it is thin and I have fine, tiny baby hairs, so my hair sort of sits flat against my head so it doesn't look like I have much hair.

What products can I use to sort of plump it up and make it appear bigger and fuller?

Spray some dry shampoo at your roots and massage it in with your fingers for a bit of volume up top. I have very fine hair as well and that's all I've found that actually keeps it somewhat voluminous throughout the day.

Yes, good tip^..I use spray in volumizers, I've been trying different ones. Currently using Salma Hayek root boosting volumizing tonic (@CVS)..I prefer a pump spray as opposed to an aerosol can. I like also that it can be used on wet/dry hair, I think it works better on wet hair though. I have it now my hair's wet, I have a pony tail clip @ the top, that gives it a boost too.
I also like Chi, it comes in a purple can, although it's an aerosol.

Schwarzkoph volume root powder - you just shake a bit on and spread it with your fingers. Flip your head upside down and 'scrunch' your hair, then flip it back

Try using Root Boost by Moroccan Oil. You spray a little on your roots and scrunch your hair up a little. I hate products in general and was VERY wary of applying something directly to my roots. This product is awesome though! It smells amazing and is very light and not stick at all, and it gives great volume!

when you dry your hair put volumizer on your roots, and then blow dry your hair upside down!
another vote for salma hayek wheat protein volumizer..it doesn't leave the hair sticky or stiff.
i'll give my hair a slight back-comb at work, with some dry shampoo to make it "stick". backcoming can be bad for your hair though, so be gentle and only do it for work ( not all the time). if you want some MAJOR volume, go to sally's and get "backcomb" spray. a little goes a looooong way

Try out clip-in extensions!! And yea, dry shampoo changes my life..I have really oily, long, thick, naturally blonde hair but dry shampoo (even the cheap brands) really transforms the roots!

I swear by the Big sexy hair root pump. Their volumizing line is amazing.

I use baby powder (blonde) or cocoa powder (brunette) on my roots when oily, and then a light oil serum on my ends.

Just adding to the chorus of baby powder/dry shampoo. I have thick waist-length hair, so it weighs itself down at the crown of my head. Baby powder to the roots is the only thing I've found that will keep it voluminous, and additionally, wet products like mousse and hairspray tend to leave all my hair feeling sticky, which I hate.

Oh, another thing is to alternate your part. If I start my shift with it parted on the right, I'll brush out my roots and re-part on the right later. That will also keep it a little fluffier. However, this is only compatible with dry products, not wet products.
