Default Anyone Deal With Belly Bloat and IBS???

Anyone dealing with this??? Im fairly small 5'4 125-130 my weight flucuates alot depending on what I eat and how often i go to the bathroom. Ive tried probiotics which work sometimes and prunes and all the other foods thats said you should eat. But like for instance this past week Ive only used the bathroom maybe twice and my stomach is super bloated and I look pregnant and i havent even really eaten that much, a couple days I may have eaten once all day. Infact ive been looking like this the past 5 months. I though maybe it was weight gain but ive started back working out and Im losing everywhere else and that bloated stomach is still there. Its never been this bad before but its making me insecure about going back to dancing any advice?

I have the exact same problem. It's SO frustrating to be small everywhere else on your body and have to deal with a bloated stomach.
Years ago I tried EVERYTHING to find a solution to this problem. Prunes, Miralax, psyllium husks, milk of magnesia, Ex Lax, etc. etc....most of that stuff just ended up messing my digestive system up MORE.

I started eating Paleo about a year and a half ago, and it has helped me tremendously with my stomach issues. I also try to cut out breads and pastas almost completely. I find eating like this has made it so my stomach doesn't immediately puff up after eating.
I notice if I DO eat bread, etc. the problem is back instantly. For example I had a veggie sub for lunch yesterday and my stomach was screwed up the rest of the day and this morning as well.

Anyway so maybe you could give that a try? I know there's a lot of threads on here about the Paleo diet if you want more information. You may want to see a doctor also. Good luck with this, as I know it's very annoying and frustrating .

I have had this problem for years!!! Bloating can happen for different reasons for each person. In some people IBS never goes away. It is just learning to deal with it.

I have given up processed food, no bread, no pasta, no sugar, no soda of any kind. Other people have bloating from lactose intolerance or problems with gluten. The key is finding what causes you to bloat.
What has helped the most is eating raw kale. I buy it in whole stalks and not chopped. I eat it as salad greens, in wraps, or sandwiches. I try to eat at least 3 stalks a day. Kale causes your body to increase bile production which aides in digestion. It has changed my life.

    My emergency fixes...

I have tried alot of different types of probotics but this the only one that actually worked .. Spring Vally Multi Enzyme Probiotic Digestive
It combines different types of probotics and digestive enzymes. I take it as directed until the bloating is gone. Then I only take it before bed for a few days.

When the bloating gets out of control I take Metamucil/ Psyllium husks before I go to bed. If I take it more often then that it seems to cause intestinal cramps. Before bed works well for me. By morning I am moving.

Triggers .... Different types of medication can also cause bloating. Ibuprofen and other types of pain killers can cause alot of havoc with bloating. Alcohol and soda can also cause alot of issues.

    Hope this helps.

I have IBS and I'm self conscious about my stomach because I always feel bloated. Apart from watching your diet and trigger foods and taking a probiotic I find Epsom salt baths help. ACV also helps. Have you been to a naturopath? You may have an underlying problem or need a diet plan. For example, most people with IBS aren't supposed to eat onion (along with many other foods), but I didn't know that until recently.
