Default WTF? Customer Admits to Fraud?

I am lost for words. Umm... wow..

So a customer I hadn't seen in my room in a while pops up to say he has a new user name. Okey dokey. I ask him why the change, and he says it's because he's denying the charges on his credit card but still wants to use the site.

There's a huge part of me that wants to unleash the right words to make his head catch on fire, pop off his neck, then roll down the street and get ran over by a car. He seriously admitted to defrauding the website I work on! That's my money! The audacity!

I haven't responded to him yet because it's just too damn late for this bullshit and I need sleep. What the fuck?! I like the site, so should I go to admin and repeat what he told me? Verbally tear his nuts off and block him? Fuck that fucking fuck.

If that's the truth, I would stay out of it and let the site handle it. As long as he can take you private, it's all gravy! That's my opinion. I'm sure the other girls may feel differently!

Is it a site that places chargebacks on you? If so I would be completely irate and unleash my inner demon on him.

Personally I would block him and leave it at that, not say a word back. That customer doesn't respect his bank, doesn't respect the site, and you can sure as hell bet that he doesn't respect you. Its one thing when a customer doesn't respect you and keeps it to himself, but its another when they are basically bragging about he doesn't respect you.

Or, if you can reply gently (like you don't even care, this would be hard) and get him to admit his username he scammed you on, THEN I would send it to the site, because then the site has more leverage against him and might be able to use it to get him charged with credit card fraud - which would be fun. But if he doesn't say his former username, then i'm not sure how much help it would be to point it to the site, because chargebacks are hard to fight.

I would report him, send the message with proof. Depending on the site the username may have the account number tagged on. This fucker just fucked himself by bragging. Do what TransdimensionalPrincess said except report him first before playing along. Let the site know you are going to attempt try to get past usernames. you wouldn't want it to backfire and the site accuse you as an accomplice. Remember most sites encourage you to report fraud.

If sites look into it hard enough they can find patterns. I had one site put two accounts on hold because I had a custie account and my husband created one too without knowing I made one. We used different cards but the billing addresses matched.

Yes, if some douchebag had admitted that to me, I would've taken a screenshot of the entire conversation and e-mailed it to the site's admin with a complaint, and banned his scamming ass! It sickens me when guys rip off cam models like this. If a guy were to brag about this to me, I would want nothing more to do with him. I wouldn't want him in my chat room, and I wouldn't want him taking me private (and yes, I've actually gotten a 1,000 token chargeback on MyFreeCams once, believe it or not).

You could actually get in trouble for not reporting it.. If you knowingly know he is commiting fraud and you say nothing?? just sayin'... about a month ago I had a guy who tipped me $1800 bucks on Ifriends.. and said get naked now.. Extremely suspicious so i reported him to customer service.. i was never going to get paid anyways.

I'm pretty sure the site will blacklist him if he disputes the charges.

Also, I'm pretty sure that if they charge his card for previous transactions and his card # has changed or been cancelled, that he won't have the ability to take girls private until he corrects it. However, he may be able to chat with them still. I know this because on my SM custy account, I had a credit card that I cancelled and got a new # for, and then when I logged into it again I got a message saying my card # had expired. I could still chat, but I had to update the new card # before I could tip gold or go pvt again.

Bragging about getting free shows? Oh hell no dude. If you can, notify the site with as much info as possible on this arsehole, and block block block. I also wouldn't want to get in trouble because I failed to report this guy. He could just be talking crap but it's not a risk I'd be willing to take.

When something goes wrong in your life, just yell "PLOT TWIST" and move on.

I contacted the website and told them what was up. They said that they do not do chargebacks and will keep an eye on the customer. I'm just not going to respond to the customer because even though it doesn't affect my money, that is incredibly thoughtless.

You did the right thing, and I wish the site would do more than just "keep an eye on the customer." Sort of reminds me of an abused person seeking help, only to be told "Well call us if it happens again." Huh??? When a guy flat out admits (brags???) to scamming a cam site and its models, action should be taken against him now...not later.

i'm glad to see you are ethically concerned. this is likely not the first time he's done this, much less his last. i would try to at least do SOMETHING to make it an impediment for him to successfully use this CC#.
I think I'd personally feel scummt accepting $ from him, if that is even something he's planning to do. You'll feel better after taking some, if small, kind of action.

You did the right thing by reporting him.

Stealing is stealing. Adult is notorious for chargebacks because of guys thinking like this, that it is all a game & we, the sites, strip clubs deserve to be ripped off.

This is why in strip clubs, they want finger prints, copy of ID to put charges on a credit card to prevent the guy saying card was stolen & such. Shameful that a man buys a service or product & thinks it is okay to do a charge back. More guys who do that makes it harder & harder for adult sites to take credit cards.

So It isn't let the site eat it & not be concerned, cause in the big picture it does effect us.

    Sam
