Hey all,
Maybe you guys can give me some guidance. I work in a club with very expensive VIP rooms and frequent extras. The hosts have their favorite VIP girls, and they'll pull them into rooms with their high spending customers. They'll also actively try to prevent other girls from getting rich customers into rooms. It's all very political, and I totally get it, but I've heard varying opinions from different girls about whether or not to tip the VIP host.
Basically if I sell a room on my own, and all the host does is put me in the right room, I don't usually tip. As is, my cut is less than half of the cost of the VIP room. I'm not trying to be greedy, but I don't understand why I should tip the host 20% of my earnings from the room just for being there. I absolutely want to help the people who help me, but if the hosts aren't helping me sell extra time, extra alcohol or get me tips, why should I be paying them? My customers always tip the hosts very well. On the other hand, if a host hooks me up with a courteous customer, I'm more than happy to tip.
What do you ladies do? I've heard some girls never tip. Other girls give the VIP hosts over half their earnings from the room whether or not they help out. Is there a "correct" policy?
