I googled it. Its basically just fresh orange juice and water. You will probably lose a few pounds then put it back on again like with any faddy "starvation" diet. If you followed it for a long time you would probably experience some serious health problems not to mention all that OJ is gonna really fuck up your teeth.

Any fad diet like that will be very short term. You may shed a couple pounds but you won't keep it off. Plus it's really not healthy at all.

I did something similar with a grapefruit diet about a year ago. lost 20 pounds over the course of 2 weeks and have only gained 5 back. I maintain my weight like a mofo. The Rainbow Diet seems to produce the best results for me though. I do it one week a month and have been able to maintain due to it. I double thurs-sat. Wednesday is the one day I don't follow at all. I do a salad in the morning of 3 cups of arugula (18 cal) with 2 diced strawberries (12 cal) and 2tbs of newman's own lighten up sesame miso dressing (35cal). Lunch I do baked radish chips (23 cal). Dinner I have 2 cup of my favorite crock pot minestrone (116 cal) and a salad of 2 cups watercress (8 cal) with Wish-Bone Salad Spritzer (20cal). 232cal for the entire day (yay). I do know some people who don't like it or gain the weight they've lost back instantly. It depends on the person and can be super hit or miss. If you don't really like the idea of a diet, hot yoga is the shit!!!!!! It's worth a monthly membership and you see results fast... plus, it's fun!

Hell I love oranges but the last time I ate too many I felt like I was going to shit out a Xenomorph from Aliens. You eat too much fruit and it will overload your intestines. My asshole physically HURT. I thought I was going to have to go to the ER.

I love fruit, and consider myself lucky to be able to eat almost an unlimited quantity without, er, asshole problems. I really have to overdo it before it even sends me to the bathroom much more often than usual, though that's perhaps because I eat quite a bit on a regular basis. I suspect that one accustoms to fruit excess to a degree. It's definitely better than other things that one can binge on.
I'm especially fond of apples as "filler". If I feel hungry when I shouldn't, stuffing myself with apples works wonders.
The only reason anyone ever loses weight is by reducing the total number of calories in their diets. Whether you're consuming a high-fat diet, a low-carb diet, a low-fat/high-protein/high-fat diet, whatever...as long as the diet reduces the total number of (k)calories you're consuming, you will lose weight. There is no magic here.
You may as well go the healthy route instead of crash dieting (only to binge later due to your body freaking the fuck out about missing nutrients, minerals, protein, and fat that it dearly needs on a daily basis). It's far better for your body, your brain, and your spirit. Make sustainable changes instead of following fad diets.

is this a cleanse? if so then i regularly do juice cleanses that last a few days for a variety of reasons and someimes that reason is to get rid of a few stubborn pounds. but i dont stick to just one type of juice and more than 3 servings of fruit in a day doesnt sound appealing or good for you. i hate those diets/cleanses that tell you to consume unlimited servings of one thing. id much rather have a day with one orange and lots of water than a week of 1000+ calories of orange juice. or spend a week with a variety of juices including veggie juices. i love celery and cucumber juice.
i built up to this stamina and i seriously doubt anyone could maintain such a low cal cleanse or fast their first time. i usually only do 1-4 days now and 6 years ago it was hard to finish an entire day. if you have a lot of weight to lose trying to attempt a week long cleanse just seems like inevitable failure to me. not to mention miserable. if you feel like youre starving, youre doing it wrong.

Well, Ladies, I have started the Paleo diet and lose 5 pounds so farPlus I am working out twice a day.The Orange diet was an bad idea for me

Just remember: if you lose 1 lb / week, that's 52 lb at the end of the year. A bit of patience goes a long way, quite quickly, and so rushing it isn't necessary.
I think that the underlying factor of all "eat on this" diets is that it becomes boring after a while, and thus one stops eating too much of it. I suppose that the classic of these is the "white rice diet".
I'm inventing a new one: The All Bacon Diet. You eat NOTHING except bacon and water. I wonder how that one would go :-). My guess is that, as horrific as it would be, if one reliably ate nothing else, one would probably tire of it and lose weight, though I'm certainly not about to try!
Drinking nothing but sugar doesn't sound very healthy or "diety" (new word lol). All you're doing is spiking your insulin which will store fat.
All bacon diet... Cardiovascular disease and obesity is how that would go
