Well I'd like to respond but I'm a little afraid of getting my head bit off....

Anyway, I'm curious what your issue with nudity is just for this reason-- are you more uncomfortable with being nude or with contact? Because there are a lot of clubs that are nude but only allow air-dancing and then there are clubs that are topless but are high contact. I personally think there's more money in nude clubs in general, even if the contact is lower than a topless club. Just something to think about and to take into consideration when looking at clubs... don't think just because it's topless it's going to be clean!

I'm not sure how widespread this is, but in CA it's against state law to serve alcohol at a nude club-- it has to be a topless or bikini club. For that reason I think topless clubs in CA do pretty well (though I've only ever worked nude because I was too young to work in a topless club when I started dancing so I'm only speaking from what I've heard from other dancers) because there are a lot of men who have no interest in going to a SC that has no alcohol and therefore will favor the topless club over the nude club. That might be something to take into consideration when you do your research-- not sure where you're located, but looking into stripping in a state that disallows alcohol in nude clubs may be a better option.

Audrey_k brings up a very good point. There are quite a few factors that will affect the earnings potential of any given club, all of which should be taken into consideration. Sm factors (contact or no, alcohol or no) are best explored by working at the particular club.

If you have nvr danced b4 I would strongly advise against being so quick to relocate. There is a learning curve to this job & it can take awhile to start seeing consistent decent $$. Just start locally (or semi-locally if you are concerned w/ being recognised) & figure out first whether this job is really for you.

I don't bite. I guess its just about Being nude in front of someone and the risk of seeing them outside of the club at the grocery store. It's only so much undercover you can do with a wig and makeup.

Why don't you just work at a club that's a little farther away? I used to work at a club that was like an hour and a half from my house and I never saw anyone I knew there in the year I worked there. Now I work about 20 mins from home but I still haven't ran into anyone. There are a couple clubs nearby that I won't go to though because they're very popular and I know people who go there.

You can try a topless club that's an hour or so away I doubt you'll run into any of those customers at the grocery store. Just look up clubs that are topless and call and ask how their dances are (topless or bikini). The club I work at now is topless on stage but bikini dances so it's really not bad at all compared to my last club which was fully nude on stage and dances!

But if you still want completely non nude then maybe try waitressing at a club? Or yeah try to audition for a go go dancing company if you can dance fast paced!

Wow, Are you located in Dallas, the club you work at sounds like something I could do. Waitressing could also be an option for me I just read post on here that said its not good money. Also I think you are right about not running into anyone, im guessing its a possibility but highly unlikely, right?

^In the five years I have been dancing I have never run into anyone, ever. But I've always danced in cities, I don't know where you are. Waitressing is good money just nothing like you're going to make stripping-- it's probably more comparable to what a go-go dancer makes.

This is a very, very good point. I started working in a nude dive (as an 18-year-old virgin) for just this reason and stayed there for four years. No / low contact is nice.

No I'm in San Diego but that's generally how all the clubs here are because the city has really strict rules. And yeah it's highly unlikely you will see someone if you're working farther from home but there's always a possibility. Just keep an eye out for familiar faces. I have a habit of scanning the floor and all the customers when I'm walking out of the dressing room. Just a good thing to do in case there was someone there and you could see them before they see you. But I doubt that'll happen if you're an hour or more from your house.

Not from a first hand experience, but I know that in San Francisco you don't take your bra off and in Orlando, fl you are required to wear pasties and thongs at all times.

Without reading comments (sorry, I'm feeling lazy tonight)-

I speak from experience. You better get used to getting felt up or have a tight game if you want to make any type of money.

Also, speaking from experience, nude is sooooooo much easier. Pasties are a fucking pain in the ass. Latex glue melts off, majority of clubs frown on duct tape (say what you will about how it looks, it works like a charm), and dance thongs burn like no one's business if you shave. Go nude. Just do it. If you're feeling nervous, you'll either get over it or get out.

Yep. In the state where I live (Colorado) alcohol can't be served in a nude club, so topless clubs with bars in this state can end up being the same amount of money as or even more than nude clubs. I worked at the Bustop, which has a topless and a nude side, before working at Platinum84, which is only topless. At the Bustop, contact was strictly one-way (except in VIP dances), whereas private dances in Platinum84 have two-way contact, so I find private dances at Platinum to be more challenging (both in terms of redirecting grabby guys and just dealing with the fact that men are touching me in a sexual manner, I'm not attracted to men at all and find most custys repulsive) than dances at Bustop even though there's technically less nudity involved.

Also, when it comes to being recognized outside of the club, keep in mind that you are going to look REALLY DIFFERENT in the club. Not only are there wigs/fancy hairstyles and heavy makeup, as you point out, but also the club lighting makes you look very different than if you were standing in a normally-lit room. Unless you're regularly dancing in no makeup and/or your normal clothes, I don't think you need to worry about being recognized outside the club. I recently ran into a guy who I think I recognized as a customer at Bustop, we looked at each other, he gave me no indication that he recognized me at all.

If you're really personally uncomfortable with being naked in front of people, then of course there's no need to justify that. But if you're really only worried about being recognized, I don't think that's going to be much of an issue, so topless/nude clubs may be an option for you.
