Default Making the best of limited supplies?

What are some household items you've found come in handy the early days of camming? For explicit stuff? For props? For lifting a laptop off of a low surface? For getting a cam at the right angle?

I'm starting out with a couple dildos, a hitachi, a few pieces of lingerie, a mirror, and my couch. BUT! My desk organizer (it spins on it's base and has 2 levels of pencil-and-paperclip holders) is a great place to put my cam- I can show several different angle with it, and with zero effort can make it pan across my body/room. It looks like this.

Until I can save up for more cam-specific supplies, I'm looking for dollarstore-esque tips and tricks. Share yours!

i keep my e-cig, 4 dildos and a string of loveballs and lube bottle in a neat plastic tray on my bed

my webcam sits on my monitor and i never move/tilt it.

    wireless mouse and keyboard

i only apply bb cream on my face and powder, since everything else is tattooed on my face

i tend to try camming clothes before i buy them, and always buy single pieces that i can mix and match.... so, i guess i have around 4 tops and 4 bottoms, but they are of high quality and i can always mix them and create tens of options !

other than that, i always tell myself i should create an online spreadsheet with members info and birthdays, but i never keep that promise.. lazy bitch here.

______ as for limiting supplies, i had invested way too much money on props that i'd only get to use once a month... i got mad and threw them out....that would be a ballgag, pussy pump, anal plug, leather pony tail buttplug, doggie bone (yeah lol..) it isn't worth the clutter.

lol when I do voyeur hair makeup shows I sit my laptop on an iPhone charging base to get a good height. I have a very small bathroom so not a lot of space there. I have some bins by my chair to try to keep my cam clothes/accessories organized (by the end of some night that is shot), another organizer for my dildo's and one for my towels. I use a pump soap dispenser to keep my lube in- easy to grab a small dab unobtrusively.

I still haven't invested in much sexy lingerie. Guys don't believe me when I say I'm a DD. Well, they know nothing about what a small band size means anyway, but my everyday bras don't provide much cleavage. But then when it comes off in pvt, they are like woooooaaaah.

I also only have a few dildos, but nobody seems to care, aside from the occassional black guy who wants something realistic looking. They're toys! They are supposed to be pink and sparkly and cute!

I need a new dildo so bad D= My only big, easy-to-see one isn't made of a safe material, and I'm tired of using condoms on it already. I find stray bits of condom wrapper everywhere.

I used Halogen lights from the garage you use to work on cars with ($10) - started with one and worked up to 3. Ugh, they are very hot and horrible to position, but they are cheap and they worked. I put in a couple extra hours an bought the cheap cowboy lighting from amazon ($80) and regular bulbs from home depot ($5).

I still only have 2 dildos and a glass toy after 2 years. I did upgrade as soon as I could to on that was safe and a tan color instead of white. If you are going to have one thing, make it glass and save your vajayjay. I soon discovered if she is upset, no one gets paid. Glass can be cheap - I found one on amazon for under $10

I love my glass ones for sure. Easy to clean, slide easily as well. I can one use the smaller one for "riding" but I was using these for BJ's at first and was afraid I would chip a tooth. I found a skin color soft one for that (too big to put in vajaja.. lol Now I need a strap on and a black one I guess.

Be careful with halogen lights! I know someone who left one turned on by accident and burned their whole house down! Not to mention, I think incandescent bulbs get too warm - I have no idea how you could work under halogen lights (but I have a lot of lights, so maybe it's different for you).

Probably half the stuff in my camming space is something I modified or am using in ways it wasn't intended to be used. It's not like many people are making shit for the particular needs of cam girls, and if they are, they're charging a lot for it.

Example: My desktop computer sits on a small, rolling kitchen island that I bought. I've got the desktop and a power strip on the bottom shelf, a middle shelf for miscellaneous crap, and the top shelf has the monitor, mouse, keyboard, cam, speakers, and my beverage. There are little hooks on one side that are intended for dishtowels and large cooking spoons and stuff, but I use them to hang all all the extra length of various cords. I plug the power strip into a long extension cord, and now my desktop is totally mobile. It's also a bit taller than the average computer cart, so it puts my cam at a better height (for me - I'm tall).

I could probably give a huge list of things I'm using "not as intended." I do it a lot outside my cam room, too. In my opinion, it's one of the best ways to get a cam set up (or house setup) that's EXACTLY the way you want it. Just be creative, look around, and keep tweaking your stuff as you find things you want to improve. It's also a great idea to look around at random, inexpensive items when you're at Lowes, Target, Walmart, etc. Just know what things are out there, and keep them in the back of your mind until you realize that some small thing you saw somewhere is perfect for what you need to make the updates you want.

My cam is setup in my bedroom still--it's easier to keep my two cats out. I have been considering moving to my living room. I hate to lock my hyper cat in the bedroom for a few hours--I can't have the cat deciding she really needs my attention.
I'll figure it out maybe. I have pretty much the basics to perform from my couch or my desk. It hurts my back to hang around on my bed--it's a standard mattress and I'm tall.
There are thrift stores I can check out for additional furnishings to get my settings nicer.
Also IKEA is great--I've found some great things there, very well priced. Years ago I got 2 lamps there, the kind that you can adjust and twist. You can find those is thrift stores sometimes also.
Bed Bath & Beyond rocks with the 20% coupons that are mailed out--and if you live in a bigger city, some Bed Bath & Beyonds carry makeup (most of the stuff you find at Walgreens or CVS) shampoo/conditioners, hair color, vitamins etc. I don't know how they do it but I've found those prices waaaay lower than even Walgreens

I agree with the thrift stores, guys are always complimenting me on my bedspreads and I promise you I never paid more then .50 for a pillow case, 6 my comforters,1.50 for the sheets and 3 for the dust ruffles.

Shop around to different ones because some thrift shops, I swear they must be privately owned, prices are too high.

I think the camgirl struggle consists of never having enough toys and needing new ones... Or having enough toys and still wanting more. I try to buy one toy a month unless I'm saving up for a really nice one. The same thing goes for outfits. Anyway, back to the subject!

I extreme coupon so I'm always getting makeup for super cheap. It's great on sites where you're waiting for privates and need something to do with your hands. I can't remember the last time I paid for eye shadow to be honest. Target, Kroger, and Rite Aid are great for getting makeup super cheap... especially target though because they have internet printable coupons, their cartwheel app, and then you can also add newspaper coupons on top of it. It's a total win! Oh an occasionally you can get baby oil free at target with coupons too so I always stock up then.

As far as show props go, I use a lamp (which came with my rental ) on an end table as a cam stand and have my laptop directly under it. I'm on my feet a lot until I hit a show goal, so it's the perfect height for me whilst standing. If I get a private or when I hit goal, I do the show from my bed. I have a foot board so I attach my cam to that, which keeps it from moving.
