Default Foot problems from pole work

So, I do pole work and I've overheard other girls describe this ailment but never had experience with it until the past few months. The foot that I keep behind the pole when I climb has started developing a bump on the top. Not noticeable unless you compare my feet and see that that one looks a bit swollen on top but it's painful for me in certain positions and makes any closed shoes noticeably more snug. Actually my toes will go numb if my shoe is too tight. I've found a couple possible conditions online ranging from cysts to bone spurs that all occur from trauma to the area, but until I can get to a doctor I was wondering if anyone else here has experienced this and what their diagnosis was.

Also, ideas on better form for climbing the pole so the top of my foot is banging into the pole every time I pull myself up? I'd just use my other foot but I don't want to have the same problem on both feet! I've been doing pole work for about two years and never had this issue.

Yeah but I have long legs and I just look so good in some sexy strappy heels lol. Customers always compliment my legs, I don't want to hide them :/

Difference: A lot of people will climb by flexing the bottom foot against the pole to hoist them up like in this vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stH0aYLKyXw. In the first vid you can squeeze the pole just at your ankle or bit above it to avoid contact with the top of your feet.

If you look at the 'placement of the legs' segment in particular, she actually grips the pole w/ the ankle area, & just above the ankle/bottom of the leg rather than w/ her feet.

Also, re: your ?? on better form for climbing, learn to place your limbs against the pole w/ more control instead of just throwing them against it. This may require a little more upper body strength. Imagine taking your absolute sweet ass pimp time bringing your legs up & gripping each time you pull up -- your arms will be doing the holding & you lift w/ your core, so you do not have to rush the placement of your legs to keep from slipping. I actually started doing this a long time ago to strengthen my arms & now my climbs are mainly propelled by my upper body rather than dependent on my legs.
