Default Suggest a lock for fridges? Soon to be cam model with food baby.

Hey! So I really enjoy hanging around these forums and have learned many great tips, and I plan to start camming at the weekend. I do have a (long won't bore you) mental health history but I've been doing better lately and besides, I love the attention and I'm a natural exhibitionist so I think why not. Most of me is so damn excited to get going..
BUT at just about the worst time, my food binges have gotten out of control for the past couple of weeks and I'm extremely bloated. All I can think about 99% food 1% pussy.
I wonder if any girls here are suffering with similar issues and would like to be 'accountable buddies' (or whatever the correct word is) so we can help each other with eating habits.

I almost feel like I should make the 'food baby belly' into a fetish and eat non-stop chocolate on cam. (semi-serious)

Would love to meet you guys!

Usually the urge to binge comes from unresolved emotional issues related to food, body weight / image, comfort & security, etc. It seems some soul-searching (alliteration much?) is in order to help you kick the habit!

i have a chocolate eating problem myself :p a big one, and the past 2 weeks i've really buckled down and stopped. ill allow myself some dark chocolate ( at least 70% coco). its good for you, but its also very bitter so i don't over-indulge. when i get feeling "snacky" at night i'll pick out a salad, some fruit, some nuts, etc. just something heathy rather than junk. i also drink lots of water and green tea, and it helps curb your appetite. you also gotta be aware of your snacking..somebody on here pointed out that its easy to mindlessly snack while watching tv, reading, or on the computer.
but i also agree with charlie, its also a deep-seeded need you can get, like you're trying to fill a void of some sort and you replace it with food. ever since i stopped smoking, i've replaced the addiction with food and with other things. its probably something you'll need to deal with while you continue to cut back.

Good suggestion on the bitter chocolate! Also, buying individually wrapped chocolates and storing them in the freezer helps.

I've been increasing my intake of raw foods, fruits I like, raw veggies and raw fruit smoothies and the fiber and delicious ripe fruit kill my sugar cravings. I've been losing weight steadily and I find the more raw fruit and veggies I eat, the fuller feel and the more weight I can drop. It helps crowd out other unhealthy fatty things I am tempted to binge on

Thanks guys! I really wish I could join you on the veggies. I've tried & tried but I cannot bare the taste. And I do eat a lot of fruit, but does anyone else find they get hungry very quickly after a bowl of fruit? Like it triggers me to find more sugary foods.

Good news is I've not binged for two nights now, but I'll be honest and say the reason why is because I asked my mom to lock all of the 'trigger' foods in her bedroom. I really am an all or nothing person, I've tried to have just a little of junk but it ends up in a 5000 calorie binge.

I'm not overweight, but I do have a high BF% and am sporting the skinny fat look. I've been lifting weights for 3 months now and results are coming slowly but surely..
its just the emotional eating! I cannot pinpoint what I am sad about, but I just feel the urgency for food and the rush it provides. I am taking 300mg Wellbutrin SR plus I've reintroduced prozac 20mg (after many unsuccessful other attempts as it sedates me STRONGLY.) I slept for 16hrs today and still felt fatigued and this side effect doesn't appear to reduce. So then I'm sleepy.. take a caffeine pill.. then get anxious so I take a benzo. This cycle needs to be broken. Any suggestions and support are greatly appreciated.

My advice would be to see a therapist who specializes in disordered eating. I'll admit that I'm super busy right now and I don't have much time to search databases, but I want to help and I will genuinely do what I can to find you someone good if you send me a PM. In said PM I would need to know: Where you live (roughly, city/state), whether you have transportation and health insurance, and anything else you feel is pertinent like "I'm a 19 y/o person of color who would feel more comfortable with a female therapist."

But seriously. Even if you can't/don't want to send a PM, I would strongly suggest finding someone who can help you talk through these issues and do some cognitive therapy that would help you identify the fears/issues behind the triggers and make the lifestyle changes that you need to. It's great that your mom is supportive (at least enough that she'll help lock trigger foodstuffs away!).

I feel like the most common problem with finding a therapist is that people don't click with or trust their therapist and then feel like, "well, I've got to keep seeing her, but I can't tell her shit." Don't DO THAT! Your therapist is a service professional who works FOR you. THEY work for YOU. Therapists don't get into the business to make money, they get into it to help people. If it's not working out, tell them. Tell them exactly what they're doing/not doing that's not working. Then, see what they say/do in response. If that similarly isn't working for you STOP seeing them and go see someone else. The only caveat I'd offer here is to check yourself and make sure that the Thing they're doing is actually legit making you uncomfortable, not something that's picking at the scab you need to open (which makes you afraid and feel like you need to run away instead of facing it).

It should take 1-3 sessions to know if you vibe with a therapist or not. If it works, keep doing it. If it doesn't, stop. If you've been going for a long time and nothing is happening, challenge your therapist to challenge you. You can do this.

/someone who works with therapists nearly every day.

That, or what I did for awhile was make sugar free chocolate peanut butter cups. They're vegan too. And I didn't gain any weight when I was eating those. However, they aren't as good as the real thing of course. Here's the one I made:
