Default Another "is my body ready for stripping" thread

    Hi ladies!

I'm a cam model however, I plan on getting into the strip game this summer. I am already 19lbs down on my 50lb journey to lose weight. I'm also recovering from a recent breast lift/tummy tuck and brazilian butt lift surgery 12 weeks ago. I know camming there is more flexibility with your body than stripping so I just want some honest opinions on if I'm ready to start or if I should wait until I'm down about 20 more lbs. I recently signed up for another pole/twerk class that I'll start once my day job ends for the summer in a few weeks. Any and all opinions on what I need to do/continue doing/stop/start would be helpful.

It depends on where you want to work. I think an upscale club might or might not hire you, but I think if you know a few flavors of twerk you should go to an urban club and get rained on! They love their girls slightly thick and bootylicious.

Pole & twerk classes are seriously overrated as far as stripping prep goes. While taking one or two in leder to get a bit more comfy can be a good thing, unless you are in an urban club it will generally not mean jack for your earnings.

There seem to be an onslaught of 'Is my body good enough???' Threads lately, & at least one of the stickies here or on Newbie Board covers this issue specifically. (Hint hint.)

I was not able to load your images so can't say anything either way but if you are recovering from surgery I would at least wait til you get the ok from your dr b4 starting. Even w/o pole tricks & ass tricks dancing is still a very physically taxing job.

Sorry, having issues with uploads. At least two showed up! Thanks ladies for your opinions. I'm a size 12 because of my ass but a size 8-10 in the waist so I was concerned with "thickness" level. I was thinking more dive club for beginning and moving to mid-tier if my body can swing it. As far as the classes go, I cant shake my ass for shit and though I dont care to do serious acrobatic pole tricks, I do want to feel comfortable doing basic spins on the pole- plus the workout and strength training itself is what I am really after to get these thighs and arms in shape. I know, I know "newbie" board was best fit for this post but considering I want honest opinions from those that currently work in the clubs- I thought this be the best place to get them. Thanks again ladies on your input. I'm nervous as f*** and up here in the midwest, there's a lot of thinner stripper-body type dancers. I dont want to be the untoned ethnic chic fu****in up the club image, whatever the hell that means!

What happened to Kid Rock's "corn fed midwestern ho's?" Your body seems fine to me. I wouldn't mess up the results of your surgery by going back to work just yet. Are these pictures before or after surgery?

Your skin looks pretty smooth which will really work in your favor. There are clubs that won't hire any size 12 girls but for the most part, you're better off being a size 12 with smooth skin like you have than a size four with deflated, wrinkled skin. That damn wrinkling from losing weight or having a child is the worst.

    I don't think you'll have any trouble.

If you are cleared to go back to the gym losing more weight can't hurt you.

Thanks again ladies, all of your input is helpful!! That Kid rock shit is not around here!! I go to strip clubs often (love the ladies) and most look pretty in shape however, I do go to mid tier and not dives as a customer so I have no clue whats in those. The pics are from after surgery- I wouldn't dare show my before pics- good Lord that would be awful!!! The doc said wait 12 weeks and I should be mostly healed and can start working out. I'm going to wait another four weeks before I start getting out there. I feel good but there is still some tenderness in my back and a little swelling in my stomach from the tummy tuck that needs to go down. I should be good by mid June. Thanks again ladies.

Oh ok...well you can be healthy and proactive by eating clean. You will also help your body recover faster with good nutrition.

You should be fine to start at a dive or mid tier club. Honestly, upscale clubs are verrrrry difficult for newbies most of the time anyway, so you're better off working up to the more competitive, heavy hustle environment. Definitely pick up dancing as you go... As much as you train beforehand, the second you audition you'll probably still look new. And that's not really a bad thing. Two weeks in and you'll be a pro. Might as well make money in the process.

As long as you're clear to work after your surgery, I think you look great. Give it a go. Good luck

Like the other ladies said it all depends on the type of club you want to work at. Upscale clubs are always going to be super picky. I've seen them turn away beautiful women because they weren't a size 0. Eat clean in the meantime then when your Dr clears you to workout get to it & you should be fine hun.
