yeah honestly i wasn't there and as you can see my responses that were directly to her were pretty neutral, more of a casual warning of how her actions could be perceived. ive just seen so many interactions between girl and guy customers escalate quickly and it becomes distracting for everyone. at sr, i think that if guys arent tipping, it should be up to the girls actually working to encourage the guys, not customers. keep in mind our stage is small and we share with 2 other girls, the floor is insanely crowded, and everyone is really drunk so girls like me get really wary of girl customers attracting attention (even if its just cutely throwing bills at cheapos) because we really dont want to be caught in the middle of some big scene that could happen. thats all. i dont think she was trying to be rude either but i think its really important to remind girls that they need to be a lot more conscious of their behavior when they are just customers. even if it just results in those guys getting up in a huff and leaving, they could knock a drink on the girls on stage or another customer or bump into a girl onstage which is really dangerous.
also in la there are a lot of stage centric clubs and in pretty much every club ive worked at in la or sf there is a real expectation of tipping a certain amount per song but in lv its so hectic that shitty stage tips are expected. every club is different which is why its so important to understand the vibe before people rush to judgment. even different clubs in lv are different. i expect a lot more from stage and would have way less of a problem with girl customers throwing bills at cheapos at ch3 for example. lol i just think its so funny that everyone here is rushing to defend her and im the only one whos said ive actually worked here regularly for years.
anyway, the way this stage works is that there are 3 girls on a stage and if you want to make tips you dance directly in front of guys. if all guys are cheap or you dont want to do that you dance in the middle or wherever and make nothing. some guys put down money and no girls dance in front so their dollars get left for whoever comes next. so if a guys been at the stage for awhile he understands that and is waiting for girls to come around. or maybe hes tipping one particular girl a lot and doesnt care for the other 2. thats fine with me. its a system that works out easiest for the girls and the customers but doesnt leave a lot of room for making sure you get a dollar from every guy as a principle like it would be at other clubs. hope this helps to explain my view.
