I think I need a long break from Pratchett... 21-book binge is a bit much... I'll hunt down Dresden Files... looks promising. I like how one review said it feels like Harry Potter for adults. Just what I needed, thanks @thatgingercamgirl!

Finally start to read "A Tale of Two Cities," then realize I have an abridged version somehow. Have to start over.

Zerozerozero-How Cocaine Runs The Wrold by Roberto Saviano. The harsh reality makes Breaking Bad look like Disneyworld.
Non fiction, but an excellent read.

Oh my goodness, thank you for recommending this! I had never heard about that series before reading your recommendation and now I'm on the second book. Reminds me a bit of the early Anita Blake books, which is a good thing. Unfortunately that series down the line became almost nothing but supernatural sex scenes to the point where it became unreadable.

I know what you mean, I got a few books into that series and just couldn't get through it. When you get to the end of that series you might want to check out Rachel Caine's Weather Warden series (starts with Ill Wind).

EAT HIM IF YOU LIKE by Jean Teulé. It was an birthday present and I would have to say that is very disturbing book. It is based on Hautefaye's incident where this young French nobleman named Alain de Moneys was tragically made the scapegoat for a whole town because of someone's else rude remark.

I read the a while ago and i remember them being pretty good. Especially considering the series is complete.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on books vs. series.

My current reading is "Great Expectations." Still trying to work my way through the classics.

I haven't seen one episode of the series. Although I plan to start soon.

I'm reading a series right now called KingKiller Chronicles: The Name of the Wind and Wise Man's Fears.

Ok, so that's not actually the title but it's pretty apt. It's kind of like if you mix a little bit of A Song of Ice and Fire with Harry Potter series. Also, the protagonist kind of has Mary Sue tendencies. It's almost like Twilight for men. But I'm enjoying it so far.

I'm almost done with it, but the author took a page out of the Martin way of writing books... as in write a bit, and then take a vacation for a few years.

(I'm also reading a book called Erasing Death by Sam Parnia which goes into detail of post-resuscitation sickness and talks about near death experience phenomena.)

Next I'm going to read The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson.

I wasn't able to watch the series after reading the books, just all wrong compared to how I imagined it, like watching a bad remake of a good movie. But I'm thinking to try again now that I thoroughly forgot the plot 4 years later.

I'm on the second book of Dresden Files, thanks a lot again thatgingercamgirl!
I love the style and how it's packed with action, just one drawback though - Jim Butcher really likes to give a lot of details on crime scenes, and then when he's done a ton of details of how sick it makes the main character feel... it's a bit more blood and guts then I generally like, but it doesn't spoil the book overall.

This season has been amazing. It's hard to believe we're so close to the end.

Also, the leads in the adaptation of "Good Omens" have been cast. I think they made good choices.
