    It took a few days to start getting calls, but they were flaky, with the first appointment not until three weeks of my ad being posted.

    Well it can go from hours to days, even a little longer.

    When I decided to go back to escorting in 2011, I got results in hours it was damn right amazing - posted a $10 ad on BP and got someone wanting to see me for 2 hours and I got a whopping tip of $200 and walked away with $600.

    other times I can go 2 weeks without getting a call those can be the hardest because you went from being on this cash high to a real low. the low times are when you need your confidence and self assurance the most.

    It took me about a week to get a serious inquiry, and I saw the guy 2 weeks after the ad was posted. It took me at least a month to get my first review which actually got the ball rolling. It was probably 2 1/2 - 3 months before I was making consistently good money off a decent number of clients.

    It took me a few days...most guys on escort boards wouldnt see me until I became verified/reviewed. It also depends on where you advertise on

    Honest to high heaven it took me 3 months via Eros to get my first appointment.... I had ZERO inquires for the first month, the second month I had a guy want a 30 min session which I turned down, and the 3rd month my first client ever booked an appointment for 1 1/2 months down the road......I had a good website and pictures and everything....I will never forget that time.

    Ugh so frustrated! I placed an ad early Thursday morning and I've gotten about ten enquiries since then, but haven't booked anything and these guys are annoying. Some of the inquiries were people asking me for things I specifically stated I will NOT do-- bareback, couples, sub, etc. I could not be more clear I will do NONE of those, some guy was like "I know you said you won't do bareback but what if I bring you a bill of health?" Uhm, no? I got like 5 responses from guys that seemed legit, but haven't heard back from a couple even though they've read my messages, communicating with 3 right now that I hope to book this week so I can make some $$$$....

    I posted on p411 a few years back in Houston and got an inquiry that day. People are wary of new providers, as they could be fakes or LE. After I saw him, he posted a review for me and then TONS of people contacted me for appointments. You can ask for review specials. Reviews are the backbone of your business! It's also really dependent on your area and the site you use. Get on ALL sites you know of. Hobbyists LOVE new faces. It's always good to start at a higher price, as if you start low you can never go high, but if you start high you can go lower. I do 400/hr and have kept it that way on my menu and demand.

    I have two appointments lined up but I'm not sure id they're gonna flake or not. Still getting enquiries but I feel like these guys know I'm new so they think they can waste my time!

    Um... The advice I saw was that you never drop your rates because it's difficult to raise them once they've been dropped. I don't understand how starting low (not backpage low, obviously) would prohibit moving up? I'm just really confused by your post here.

    Because hobbyists love to complain & bargain. I'm constantly asked for a special. Even if you're low, they still ask you for a special. I shouldn't have said "never" as it does happen and works for some. Imagine when you're established and raise your rates.. It does effect providers' business because they already knew your rate and will keep asking for the same after it's raised. Your reviews will have your old rate and then new hobbyist will say "why is your rate higher for me?" I'm consistent and firm on my rate so there will never be confusion. Hobbyist have forums about providers and they do talk about them.

    If a girl is at 700/ hr and she decides business is too slow this way but has a few good reviews on her, she can drop to 500/hr and people will see the stellar reviews and think it's a good deal. She's at a price they can afford now and feel like they must see her.

    its just what I've seen on my sites and read..

    The conventional wisdom from Tits and Sass suggested that dropping rates like that is a clear sign that your business is hurting, you're desperate, and all the hobbyists have to do is sit and wait for rates to drop even further. If someone asks me for a special then he gets blacklisted - my rates are my rates and asking for a bargain is tantamount to saying that he doesn't think I'm worth it.

    Another thing to consider when waiting for your first appt is how you look. I work with a girl who has a gorgeous face and a killer body. She also has a short blonde mohawk and a bunch of tattoos. They guys who see her, love love love her, but her volume is a lot lower because of it. You may just be a more specialized taste. ;-}

    Try not to sweat it too hard, before too long, you'll be scarping them off with a stick.

    I had my first appointment today! It went great. I listed myself early Friday morning and he booked me yesterday, so that's 4/5 days I guess. I could have had an appointment sooner I think if I hadn't been quite picky about who the first guy was (really glad he was my first and I waited for someone I could screen well). I had a couple other potential ones lined up for later this week, guys are SO fucking flaky though. I don't get this time-wasting stuff? Like I get it in the SC, I'm half naked and you're at the club and need someone to talk to, but I cannot fathom what is so exciting about going back and forth with an escort through email or text to quick phone calls? If a guy starts asking for pictures before making a sturdy booking I cut him off, and I won't stay on the phone for more than 5 minutes unless we're working out a time to meet, I don't respond to the guys who ask dumbass sexual questions like "so if you're an American you can give really good head right? what do you do with your tongue" but still I get guys who just waste my fucking time and after sending a few messages I realize they're not going to book anything!

    Anyway, I'm hoping things will start going a little faster now that I'm verified on AW and have a review.
