Um if a medication specifically says 'don't mix w/ alcohol' there is usually a good reason for it. Either drink & don't take it, take it & don't drink, drink a ton of water so you can piss like a racehorse & relieve the bloating, or take the nite off.

Does Midol help w/ bloating? Seriously, I have nvr taken it so Idk.

Feeling bloated also =/= looking bloated. Point being, don't mix that shit w/ alcohol.

As an FYI, the little blue pill is more commonly known as Viagra, so careful when you call yours that around others.

It's a diuretic and so is alcohol. So it can be bad for your kidneys/ liver. So if you do drink just have what they recommend. People don't release coffee , redbull , energy pills are all bad to mix alcohol with.

Both diuretics and alcohol cause dehydration, so taking them together can lead to severe dehydration, as well as kidney damage because alcohol and dieuretics make you kidneys work harder. Really, prescription medication, most over the counter medication and a lot of diet products should not be mixed with alcohol.

Coffee, beverages with caffeine, energy drinks/pills/shots, stimulant diet pills etc should never be mixed with alcohol ever, under any circumstances, because it can kill you. Drip coffee or soda is mild enough that it will only cause a problem in those with underlying cardiac or vascular problems, but a vodka RedBull is an extremely bad idea.

The best way to beat bloating is to cut down on your sodium intake and drink more water.

I do not understand why you would regularly take a pill to dehydrate your body. That sounds horrible. Your body and brain need a near-constant supply of water to survive and thrive - any excess will be urinated out naturally. Your body works hard to keep itself in a constant state of balance (homeostasis). When you purposefully fuck with that, it starts to suffer.

Furthermore, unless you're horribly bloated from unhealthy diet, alcohol consumption, and health issues, I can't imagine a diuretic making a significant enough difference in your body that other people would actually notice. It seems like a disordered 'eating' habit.

    BE CAREFUL.

Diuretics can be useful in some cases, but really few. I unnaturally bloat when I eat something with MSG and a mild diuretic helps to deal with the painful swelling in my feet and legs, until its flushed out of my system. However, avoiding MSG is a million times better. OTC medications are for occasional use, in rare circumstances, unless directed by a doctor. Way too many people turn to meds, rather then finding the root of the problem and dealing with it.

My step father worked at a pharmaceutical company for a long time and always warns me about just how dangerous even tge most seemingly harmless medication can be.

just drink a lot of water and eat water-dense veggies and fruit. exercise, get rest, stay healthy. safer, lasting results. i hate pharmaceutical diuretics myself, dries out my skin something awful. and that with alcohol? nooooo
stop drinking alcohol if you don't wanna bloat. get at it from the source instead of just treating the symptoms and possibly making it even worse!!

I use pamabrom (the main ingredient in diurex, and the diuretic ingredient in some versions of Midol-type products) if I have to work on the first day or two of my period. It does help reduce ankle and lower back soreness. Maybe it also causes me to appear thinner; I can't really tell. Are you talking about using otc diuretics a couple of days a month, or are you actually looking for someone to tell you it's okay to use them all the time?

No, no, no. That shit will eventually fry your kidneys. Especially if you drink alcohol.

Not just yes, but hell yes! You never know what's coming down the pike or when you'll need your heart, kidneys and liver to deal with something important.
