    Default Hair products for humidity

It might be super hot in the desert, but it is great for hairstyles. Lately I have been spending time on and off in eastern Kansas. I have super problem hair to begin with because it is super chemically managed due to going grey... It is medium brown, medium length with toned highlights. Hot rollers make my hair look awesome here. In the desert I can even just let my hair dry naturally with a leave in conditioner.

I am not working in Kansas, so I don't have to worry about in the club. I am in a new relationship and I really want to not have super crappy looking hair. Does anyone have any suggestions about what I should be doing with my hair??

    Thanks!

Oooh, are you sure you're not me, lol? I have the same issues, I don't use rollers tho. Right off the bat, I can't think of an actual product name, but I've seen some hairsprays that are supposed to keep out humidity..can/do you use hair oils? I like the Loreal dry oil spray, & a bit of the Shea Moisture brand High Shine glosser w/Tahaitian/Monoi oils, they're to keep out frizz, which's triggered by humidity.
I also like the clear henna spray, by Henna Gold. It protects from the sun, humidity & has a hairspray effect

I can use hair oils. My hair soaks everything up. Last time I was a disaster, I didn't even bring a hairdryer. In the desert I never use a hair dryer unless I am going to work because hair dries so quick. My hair was wet forever nothing dries, it doesn't matter how hot it is! I do not want to have to pack my hot rollers- and I have tried to use them in humidity before on work trips and it was always tons of work for absolutely no reason. Style just dies a rapid death.

I am hoping for a miracle product that i can spray in before blow drying. Oils with heat is super bad for my hair! I have some of the paul mitchell super skinny gloss. Maybe that and then spray an oil to finish the style? Maybe a product with a little hold before using the hairdryer?

what i do is slather my hair in coconut oil over night, and wash it out in the morning. it actually seals the cuticle like nothing else. then dry your hair with a low-heat hair dryer and round brush, if you let let it air dry then it can absorb moisture a lot more and frizz out. i LOVE paul mitchell super skinny serum!! i was just going to suggest that. biolage makes excellent anti frizz products in my opinion, ask for an anti frizz. i forget what its called

Thanks Simone. I don't want to do coconut treatments when I am there for 4 days, but I will do one the night before I go. Is there a conditioner that you recommend? I will def be bringing my hairdryer this time. I spend a ton of money on my hair and i am sick of it looking so shitty out there when I am with this guy and his friends. This is the last time I will be going to Kansas because he is moving here, so yay back to easy hair!

Aveda Smooth Infusion line. There is a shampoo, conditioner, and two styling products, all have humidity defense in them. Also, Aveda Control Force hairspray. I managed Aveda salons before dancing. I live in Texas and have very frizzy hair myself, and I can dance an eight hour shift with out my hair frizzing.
