Thumbs up In love with Urban Decay, anyone else?

Just bought the new Electric Palette. OMG. All I can say is that I'm absolutely in love. It's the best thing since sliced bread. The colors are super pigmented, it stays on forever, blends seamlessly. I highly recommend it to anyone, and while the $56 price tag can be steep, I tried to rationalize it this way: 10 eyeshadows, $5 apiece, plus tax. I'm about to go searching for the Naked 3 soon as well.
Anyone else use this palette or Urban Decay cosmetics in general, and if so, what are your favorite products/tutorials/etc?
Here's a pic for reference, excuse my bad makeup and lack of eyebrows, I was excited to try it out... I'm wearing Slowburn and Savage.

Well, the only thing I've used really is their cream blush/cheek tint as they call it: Afterglow i n a round case..it's the most natural looking blush. I love that the top has a magnet, it kinda broke on the side, but it stays on cause of that.
I've also heard great things about their eyeshadow base.
Now they have a BB cream for the body, love to try that.

I have the Naked 3 palette, but I liked 1 and 2 better. I wish I would have gotten the Lorac Unzipped palette instead of Naked 3. They're very similar, but I find I much prefer looks created with Lorac. There's a really talented young makeup artist who posts a lot of looks and tutorials online. If you google Sssamanthaa you can find more, but I think this is my favorite Naked 3 look she created: http://www.reddit.com/r/MakeupAddict...ked_3_palette/

It looks like you wear pretty intense colors, so you probably already have a good primer, but UD's primer potion for eyes is really great. I wanted to try their Naked foundation, but the Sephora associate gave me a sample that was like three shades darker than I wear, so... I heard it wasn't that great anyway, so I've stuck with MUFE HD.

Big Fatty used to be my HG mascara, but they reformulated it

Yea I have a sample size of their primer and it's a lifesaver. I'm on the lookout for their foundations because I heard from a friend of mine who also has very pale skin that their foundations are amazing and they don't oxidize as badly as others (which is a huge issue for me, I sweat a lot at work and the oil on my face turns my makeup a different color).
Tbh when it comes to skincare and mascaras, I lean more towards Benefit.

We look about the same color, and I wear Makeup Forever HD Foundation in 110. They have a really broad selection, and I've never had a problem with it looking funky or off once applied. I've never tried UD's foundations, but MUFE is definitely worth a try if you don't find what you're looking for with UD!

I have naked & naked 3. I also use their primers one is bronze & looks beautiful without applying shadow over it. The other is just the primer but it works great.

Do I? I love UD! They just had an awesome giveaway for their entire summer collection on their instagram but I didn't win
Anyway I have all the naked palettes, the 15th anniversary palette, the fun palette, dark palette, and a handful of individual eyeshadows. Their liquid 24/7 eyeliner is the absolute best eyeliner I've found. It comes off easily when I wash my face but stays on through sweat while working. Their eye pencils are so vibrant it's stupid.
I haven't tried their newest lipsticks but have my eye in them for my next trip to sephora!

    image.jpg
Pic related. My eye with a bunch if UD on it. I used pistol, ace, blackout and some other inglot eyeshadows. The eyeliner is UD's in Perversion (their blackest black).
Edited to crop my huge photo. A bit too excited here.

I still like Mac and other brands but I am really loyal to UD because they're such good shadows. A cool way to make their colors even more vibrant is by spraying Mac's Fix + (its a face primer) directly ON to your brush and then picking up the shadow with it. In addition, of course, to already using a primer on your lids. I use either UD's primer potion (the matte one) or Mac's Paint Pot in Painterly.

I considered getting the new neon palette but didn't simply because I rarely use such bright colors (i'm more of a neutral, earthy colors but heavy handed application type, works for me at work).

Anyway, if you like bright, you NEED to check out Sugarpill Cosmetics (http://www.sugarpillshop.com). I have their burning heart palette and its a set of four huge pans of red, bright orange, yellow and the most awesome purple ever eyeshadows. I also have the pigments in silver and gold which is what I used to make the little fleck of silver in the above look. Check them out!

I learned about makeup and got into it because I started stripping but it morphed into a fun hobby. When I don't feel like going to work I just start doing my makeup first (instead of doing it after showering, shaving, hair etc) because it just gets me going at least

I learned that no matter how good the product you need good brushes to apply all your awesome stuff correctly. My favorite brushes are mac brushes and I have a few that are my go-tos everyday for every look. For foundation I use sephora's knock off of the beauty blender. I bought the original and the sephora dupe and didn't feel the difference was enough to spend 20 vs 6 on a sponge. Sonia Kashuk for target also has some pretty sweet brushes too. I bought this set from target and love it

I'm gonna share some looks I've done using UD, Sugarpill, lLimecrime and Mac. Some other stuff too...
For the red purple and oranges those are all Sugarpill colors from the burning heart palette. My black and earthy tones are all UD. The chunky glitter is by a brand I'll never buy from again but you can get cosmetic glitter from anywhere. The key to using glitter is a good adhesive, I use UD's discontinued Heavy Metal Glitter (stocked up in them) but I hear Too Faced Glitter Adhesive is good, too.
The red lips are lined with cherry by Mac and I used Limecrime's red velvet velvetine. The ombré lips is macs nightmoth lip liner blended into macs rebel lipstick.
A good and cheap primer I used on the green eye is NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk (white). If you need a cheap primer NYX jumbo eye pencils are great for that, use their white for vibrant colors or black if you want a very dark like or crease.

XD It's all good lol, my mother actually got it as a wedding present after she and my father moved to Germany. So I'm not very sure where exactly it was bought but I know it's something that's been kept in the family for two decades or so.
I have seen stores like Earthbound keep similar things and eBay and Amazon have a pretty decent selection as well if you just search 'wall fan decor'.

Hi ladies the UD electric pallet is highly reviewed but a great dupe is bh cosmetics take me to Brazil pallet. More colors less money.

And someone mentioned mac fix+ spray as a primer. I guess you could use it as that if you have dryer skin. But I think it's more of a toner or setting spray. As mentioned you can use it to intensify colors but you can also use a saline solution or any eye drops (not gel) for a cheaper alternative!

Sale price 8 bucks lol. I think I bought mine on amazon for 20. Beware of amazon makeup though because sometimes it's fake. I got lucky. Another great cheaper alternative for eye shadows are a brand called coastal scents. I own all of these brands UD/ ect any thing at sephora really and sometimes it's almost impossible to tell the difference between cheaper and expensive I'm pretty sure it's a marketing thing. But try them all ymmv. Just suggesting alternatives for cheaper budgets!

I am in love with Urban Decay's HD liquid foundation! It seriously looks airbrushed and has a medium, build-able coverage. I'm on my 5th bottle! Also, their 24/7 liquid last liner in Black is perfect for a crisp pin-up look that won't budge. Best of all most of their products are "cruelty-free" and vegan!
