I think it's all over the place. Sometimes you can work in a club and never know it's going on.

Speculation by my acquaintances in the area is that this 'COAST' coalition of well established club owners ... and the supposed co-operation with DHS ... has two purposes. The first is to deflect LE attention away from the well established clubs and toward competing non-corporate clubs. The second is to provide 'raw meat' for DHS in terms of identifying and 'removing' girls who are working in area clubs without US citizenship or 'green cards'.

Or put another way, this has nothing whatsoever to do with reducing or eliminating 'extras' in Florida clubs. It has a lot to do with consolidating the profits generated by those 'extras' into the hands of well established 'corporate' clubowners and the 'legal' dancers working in their clubs.

Nothing is going to changes until women and girls who are victims of sex trafficking aren't treated like criminals when they are picked up on prostitution charges. Who charges a 15 year old with a sex crime? That's absurd!

It's a great idea to get LE to work more closely with the dancers, I almost think it would be best if LE could have one or a couple designated cops, preferably female, to handle dancer tips and travel to clubs and educate girls on what trafficking is and how they can deal with it. Consistency is key, once the girls see the same person around for a while being approachable and understanding, they might open up a bit. A lot of the non SW girls can be...not the brightest bulbs in the box shall we say, and sweet lovely people some of them may be (others are crazy fuckers but still, no one deserves to be taken advantage of), they just do not understand what is happening to them. Especially when their pimp is masquerading as their "boyfriend" which I see more and more. Girls need to understand that anyone that takes your money, for whatever reason, is a PIMP and that is WRONG. They also need someone of authority that the feel they can trust if and when they realise what is going on and escape the situation because we all know what kind of characters these scumbags are.
