Default Stripper stories (UK preferred)... serious money to be made!

    Hi guys,

I've signed up here because as a former dancer, I always thought the stories that I would hear in the changing room would make for fantastic magazine articles, newspaper stories etc. I've been working in PR now for about 3 years, and I just see so many strippers misrepresented in articles and things - it really annoys me. When I used to work at a major London club, most of the girls there were smart, funny, determined and had these incredible backstories, one I remember was paying for full time care for her disabled mother, there was at least three or four with kids at top private schools and lots of law students, trainee medical students etc.

I was talking with my boss today and I really want to find some girls who are interested in telling their stories for a magazine or newspaper. Hopefully, if you're a bit fame hungry and want more than one story - we can think of a great way to extend it. My boss has just made £50,000 for ONE GIRL and she has zero talent! Most stories we do pay at least £1000, and can get a lot more. If it suits the story, sometimes you can sell it anonymously as well.

Stories I'd be interested in (the more outrageous, generally the more money!) are -

    Dancer with a Muslim/Islamic background.
Dancer paying for care for parents/grandparents/children
Dancer who is still a virgin / religious
Dancer with kids at a top private school, and nobody else knows!
Dancer with a very high IQ
Disabled dancer (I think this would be so uplifting to read about. I hate how disabled people aren't seen as "sexy" in the media. It really annoys me! Why can't they be? Why are there no disabled glamour models?)

Anyway, I think you get the idea. Message me if you're serious, and we can chat more. I'm interested in kiss and tells as well, and other more obvious stuff, but I want to get across a message that there's a lot more to this industry than people know.

A bit about me - I danced for around 3 years in and out of the London clubs. Made great money with big natural boobs! I quit mainly because I was becoming reliant on alcohol and it wasn't great for me, I found myself working more and more with PR and it seemed like a good idea to quit. Ask me any question!

    xxx Nicky

Is there any anonymity in these stories (ie. fake names and no photos) or do the dancers that share their stories have to out themselves?

Why won't you publicly answer the question?

ETA: Got a PM from the OP, if anyone is interested: "anonimity is sometimes ok, but we would need photos. However, we are really keen to find a Muslim dancer, and for that I am sure the papers would grant anonymity. These are all things we can discuss."

There's nothing sketchy about this at all. I just prefer to speak in private - most people prefer this as well. Yes - sometimes anonymity is provided - for instance if someone's safety would be compromised or be at risk in any way. Look in any magazine, you'll see it says "we pay £££s for your story". The company I work for makes sure nobody gets screwed over, journos are notorious for this!

Nicky - if you were a dancer I'm sure you can appreciate that many dancers, particularly the type you are seeking value their anonymity. The fame hungry ones aren't the ones with the stories you're after.

So you expect to essentially be granted private audiences w/ us (via PM) but have no problem outing us alongside whatever stories we might offer … unless of course, you come across sm1 reeeeeaaally special, who by virtue of your arbitrarily-defined specialness is more deserving to maintain her privacy. Just so every1 here is clear.

I would be inclined to think you are full of crap when you say you've danced b4. Either that, or you have not done it long enough to fully appreciate the safety risks that come w/ the job. Muslim girls are not the only ones whose safety could be compromised by being fully outed. Or did you think the only purpose of stage names is for customer entertainment?

It's not me who sets these "rules". If I try and sell your story for you, the newspapers will want to know who it is, and the reason for anonymity. Blame the media and the buying public, not the messenger.
Nobody gets "outed" if they don't want to be. It was just a thought to try and get some lesser known stories out there. At the end of the day, it's good money.

My point is that regardless of 'who makes the rules' -- well look around this forum & find the numerous threads where girls discuss their fears of being discovered dancing, & the repercussions sm of them deal w/ as a result.

If our privacy concerns are really only going to be honoured on the whim of the publisher, then you may find yourself hard-pressed to find many takers, & you are certainly no friend of the dancers whose stories you are requesting if you won't push for a guarantee that our anonymity will be respected.

These are all good points, I'm not going to lie. Totally understand where you are coming from. I'll have a talk with my boss and some publishers and see what they say. I may be jumping to conclusions, and anonymity may well be respected after all. I only see the bad side of some of these big companies!!

Wait, so you're just a middleman? Your OP read as if the dancer sells her stories directly to you, who is publishing them, not that you act as a sort of broker trying to find someone to buy the story, thus giving THEM full control over its presentation…

1,000 pounds for everyone who reads the newspaper to know I'm a dancer? lol, no thanks.

Honestly, it doesn't matter if you're Muslim-- I'm sorry but if it were to be published in a friggin newspaper that I'm a dancer my father would never speak to me again, ever. Besides the fact that he'd be furious, he would be totally humiliated that his friends would know. He's conservative and I don't agree with his views but he's my dad, I only have one.

There are definitely some ladies out there who are less stringent about their privacy, but it doesn't sound like those are the kind you are looking for by reading the types of stories you want.

Nice to meet you Nicky. However, I echo everyone else here.

I personally am deeply suspicious of people trying to gain personal information, sell things or recruit when they cannot provide a reference or wish to keep communication strictly private. For example, there is no legitimate website link, email, phone number or even name of the company you represent who is going to deal with the very girls you want to spill all for you. Why the secrecy? All we have for you is an SW alias and the promise of money based on no evidence of the existence of a legit company (nevermind of any prior success). You could be anyone, even a master manipulator looking to collect stories and photos of people to blackmail them with later. Forgive me for saying so, but only a fool would jump right in without doing a basic enquiry.

Secondly, you are going to be hard pushed to find someone who has worked very hard to achieve outside ambitions because of any kind of sex work when keeping a low profile has been paramount in making that possible. The women doing these jobs under the radar are the ones who often end up in the press because they have been exposed in one way or another, or have met with undue pressure to reveal themselves - fame was not the driving force for them (examples I can think of now are Brooke Magnanti and Sheila Vogel-Coupe). On the upside I agree that it can encourage healthy discussion on dispelling stereotypes, but what good is that when the very person who has given up their anonymity faces a potential backlash from people in their day job, or alienation from the very people they do the dancing to support? Fame can be a very ugly beast.

If you can show yourself to be legit I'm not saying you won’t find anyone, but the type of women who you seek will be far less likely to respond versus those your post would attract. Maybe be prepared for a influx of kiss-and-tell ladies - those women are always looking for fame and a quick buck and sadly generally do more to harm the reputation of strippers than improve it.

As someone who falls into one of your categories (and I know there are many others on here), I can honestly say without a doubt that it would give me more peace of mind to make my £1K+ in the strip club.

In theory, a forum like this seems like a great place to source information etc. But, it's a support forum (we come here because we feel that we can "tell our stories" to like minded people more or less anonymously). These kinds of things are approached with caution here and not really appreciated i.e. surveys, giving out information for studies and so on. Why not approach a blogger (someone who probably doesn't mind "publicly" sharing their experiences). Even then, they may not be comfortable with being "outed". Seeking people who use dancing to better their lives isn't a good idea, because these people don't need the stress of being outed to add to their struggle.

So many people are interested in hearing our stories. I personally have lived through some of the "stories" you described in your OP. But it's not a story, it's my life, and if you think me or any other girl would sell her life story, her struggles, the intimate details of her life that have helped to define her as a person for as little as $1000? If you danced you know a lot of girls can make that or close to it in a day so it's not exactly a huge incentive. If I ever tell my stories I'm going to be writing them myself and making sure they come out how they are supposed to.

In regards to anonymity, I think that should be a given for you if you want to find anyone willing to share. Being outed was one of the worst and most scarring experiences of my life. You want a story and to justify the anonymity? Write these as a series and start off with about how families'/society's negative reactions to the sex industry is one of the most detrimental affects of the entire experience.
