    Default Sore legs...newbie

Hi I had an audition tonight and I got hired. I didn't think of it before but after my audition (4 songs) my legs hurt so bad like I've been doing squats for hours. Also I felt a little awkward cause I kept doing the same dance pretty much cause I am not used to dancing. Any advice on the pain and dancing or videos of some good dances? (Without pole work)

The pain will go away as you start to dance more and constantly bending your legs doing lap dances it just a matter of time... As far as dancing best thing to do is watch other girls dance on stage that's how most learn....give it a few months and you will know your dancing get better!

Thanks. I am hoping my legs will get used to it I didn't think they would hurt just from dancing. Also, I have been watching the other girls but a lot of them do pole tricks which I don't know how to do or they go and talk to the guys by the stage and I'm shy.

If you want to learn pole trick every time u go on stage climb the pole that will build your upper body strength and
And next thing u know it you'll be able to hold yourself up on the pole it's just your hands .. But pole tricks don't really make u money I wouldn't waste time trying to learn unless u just want too

Long stretches and epsom salt baths help.

    ^^^^ This.
And if you bruise easily like I do, arnica gel or tablets are very helpful. They make bruises fade faster.

Also, iron supplements are your friend, esp during your period. Arnica can be great but it nvr worked for me, I guess YMMV w/ that. Vitamins B & K are also helpful, from what I have read. Add protein to your diet to improve muscle repair & muscle gain(read: strengthening), & start exercising a bit to condition yourself. No need to go all out, just sm light to medium cardio+weights will do wonders, esp if you are interested in starting to learn pole tricks.

Speaking of pole tricks -- whether they will make you any additional $$ will depend on your area & your club. The last club I worked at regularly was very stage-centric, so pole tricks were a good thing to have. Most places I have worked tho, that wasn't the case, so I was one of the very few girls in my clubs who did them, just bc I love pole work & found it much easier to learn than dancing in general.

Alright do you guys know of any videos of girls dancing with no pole tricks or anything? I feel like I look like a naked fish dancing lol. I work tonight and I'm nervous I'll look dumb again the guys by the stage told me to loosen up but I felt like I looked dumb dancing cuz I kept doing the same routine.

    Sloooooooow iiiiiiiiiiit dooooooowwwwwn.

2-3 3+min songs is a long time, esp when you are still nervous & getting your 'sea legs' but this was one of the biggest things guys told me my first nite. If you have any choice in your music, maybe try mid-tempo songs rather than anything too-too-fast. That long time can also be put to good use making each of your stageside customers feel extra special, fill the time up w/ lots of CFM eyes, sexy stretches, & a line or two to hustle yourself sm dances for when you get offstage.

Your body will get used to the physical strains of dancing in time. It will become much easier, and your skin will stop bruising so much. In the meantime, staying off your feet on your days off when you first start working will help ease your body into the job. Also, soaking in epsom salts and using bubble bath with arnica components in it will help. Rubbing arnica gel on your legs will also help relieve the pains, and if anything will cool your joints.
