I went to Exxxotica this weekend and in the complimentary bag there was a little book that had an ad about this place. Has anyone checked it out?

Same here. I called, you need a gown to audition and a 1 inch t-back. Sunday-Thursday from 7 to midnight.

Sorry that was about Allure. I want to go audition at both tonight but I don't have any gowns.

Double post

Okay so I think I might be spoiled. Got to Allure at 10ish on a Thursday night but it was what I would consider dead. Decided to go check out Scores immediately after and it was not as dead but the guys that were there seemed to be doing a lot more drinking and joking around with each other than with the dancers. I checked out Polekatz the night before and there was maybe 20 guys in the club and I don't know how many dancers. So I take back everything bad I've ever said about Vegas during the summer because it is still infinitely busier than any of the clubs I visited in Chicago. Ouch.

Isn't Chicago skinny Minnie central?

Pretty much (this is when I danced), though if you go out towards the suburbs they get larger. Some of the suburban clubs I'd avoid as they are in very bad areas. Is this the club with the nuns fighting it?

Not at these clubs I went to, a male friend of mine went with me to check them out and we were both surprised at how big some of the girls were. Keep in mind these were three clubs in the suburbs. I'm almost certain the girls at Admiral and VIP's are more fit than these girls.

Yes, Allure is the club with the nuns fighting it. I honestly hadn't heard of it before Exxxotica but I figured I would check it out. I heard good things about Atlantis but I've also heard the suburb that it's in is kind of sketchy. I was hoping to make some money while visiting family but I've pretty much given up on that idea now.

Double Post! My phone keeps on doing this.

Allure is a very beautiful club, definitely looks like it belongs in Vegas or Miami but they need way more customers to fill up that empty space. None of the three clubs I visited were in Chicago proper, Polekatz is in Bridgeview, Scores and Allure are in Stone Park. The only other suburban club I've heard good things about is Atlantis and I know that's in Ford Heights, which from what I know is a super sketchy area. When I started dancing 10 years ago, my home club (Allstars Northlake) was close to Scores and I know it used to be busy back in those days. I am not sure if it is because the economy has changed drastically since then or if my expectations are now higher since for the past year on and off I've been working in Vegas.

Yeah Atlantis is in a very bad area.
Chicago is funny because the higher class clubs like VIPs and the Admiral tend to be very picky (or were when I danced, heard the standards are less now). However many of the clubs in the suburbs tend not to be as picky, especially the farther you go from downtown. Have to remember, it's a different kind of clientele. VIPs tends to be white collar professionals whereas many of the suburbs are blue collar. I don't know about those other clubs though but am not surprised they aren't as picky (though have heard Scores is and they were super picky when it was the Sugar Shack).
I used to dance in that area too (though never worked at All Stars)and yep it was always busy. I think part of it is how the area changed. Many of the factories closed which prevented many from spending.

I got hired at the Admiral Theater a few years back but I never worked there because I was intimidated by dancing nude. All of my dancing career has either been bikini/lingerie shows or topless. I know that VIP's is selective and I've never tried to work there because I have several large tattoos which are frowned upon with most of the white collar crowd. You're absolutely right, the clientele is totally different the further out in the suburbs you go but I feel like back in the day you would get more white collar guys stopping into places in Northlake/Melrose/Stone Park on their way home from work combined with a lot of the guys that worked in the area.

True. I worked for years in that area and it was a mix of white collar and blue collar (and most of the blue collar workers were generally skilled and many were well off). I too stuck to topless or bikini shows (including the lingerie shows)because I didn't feel comfortable dancing nude in clubs (though went nude for parties).

Yes, same. We probably worked in the same places. I did nude for private parties as well but that's it. This was 10 years ago and I am not sure about how the money is for lingerie or bikini shows but I am guessing they had a clientele switch just like the actual strip clubs.

Yeah for me it's been over 10 years but have seen a switch in customers. The money used to be good but I've heard it's rough now. Most of the clubs I danced or modeled at are now long gone and I'm sure they closed partly because of the change.

You should still try. I've brought girls in to work with me there with tats and you just have to cover them.

Sorry I'm on my phone but that was suppose to be a quote to amiras post about VIPs.

I traveled in to work for 10 years. I only went during conventions though. You don't want to be there when there's no convention. It was my favorite club in the country! Easiest money I've ever made.
