    Default Covering my Tattoos ?

I have a few that I want to cover for webcam work. What are some good methods for this?

    Thanks

There are a few kinds of heavier makeup i.e. Dermablend that are made specifically for covering tattoos.

I am a dancer not a camgirl, but two of my three tattoos are easily covered -- one on my ankle w/ socks or legwarmers, the other on my wrist so I sewed a cloth cuff just for it that buttons on/off. Chose a sparkly black fabric that looks good w/ any of my outfits + club lighting. If you have small-area tattoos like these, maybe you can do smtg like that to creatively cover them, maybe match the covering to whatever theme you might incorporate for your show.

If you need your tattoos to be uncovered by clothing, try Dermablend Leg and Body Cover. If the closest shade doesn't match your skin tone, just use a good amount of translucent powder on top, wait a couple minutes, then apply a high coverage liquid foundation in your closest shade. Then use more powder, then some hairspray. Hope this helps!

I like the cloth cuff story. Pretty nifty!

...no I need some cream or flesh colored band aids or something that won't stand out. Regular band aids look stupid.

Anyways, thanks and if you have a link for that stuff would you post it?

    Thanks

Would flesh-tone athletic prewrap work? You know, the really thin, foamlike material you put on under athletic tape?

Well you said that you don't want to use bandaids, & were looking for smtg that does not stand out. Idk what you look like or where your ink is located but this is the prewrap I had in mind

You can get it online or go to a sporting-goods store or CVS/Wallyworld/related store to find it, albeit a more limited colour selection.

Also saw one website that has animal-print variations… Tarzan theme, anyone?

I know this is an old thread, but I'm bringing it back 'cause covering tattoos has been on my mind in getting started camming. Realistically, I'll likely end up showing the tattoo if I stay with camming long enough, but for now it helps me to feel comfortable.

Which is not to say it's not a pain in the ass. I have one large tattoo on my arm which I have covered with dermablend the last (first) couple times I've been on cam. It smears all over everything. I don't have hairspray, and I just got some powder, which I'm told will help though I'm dubious (clearly I'm not a big makeup person in the day-to-day).

Anyway, Dermablend is pricey. I wish I'd found this Youtube video first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0K_L4EaFLrc
She uses drugstore makeup in an unexpected way.

Like Aniela I'm opting to go with a cuff of some sort... it's gonna be big and obvious that I'm covering something up, but I'll still feel better. I made a cuff out of lilac lace with tan fabric underneath; I plan to add some antique chains and baubles so it looks more like jewelry. Because the tat is so high up my arm the band won't stay up with tension alone. I ordered some spirit gum to glue the top of it to my arm. Icky and sticky, but less so than Dermablend/makeup routine, and quicker.

I've also seen a new product that's basically temporary tattoo material in a variety of skin-tones. But the reviews for it are generally poor; apparently it's pretty shiny looking and not good coverage. Nice idea though.

There are also a number of pre-made fabric sleeves, but they are rather utilitarian looking, or else have cheesy patterns.

I also looked for skin-colored medical tape, but it was surprisingly hard to find and I came to the conclusion that it would look... medical.

    Any other ideas?

Try Ben Nye Finishing Spray with the Dermablend and Powder it is the spray that the Disney Princesses wear to hold their makeup all day. I use it to cover scars that I am not comfortable with while on cam.
