I made an appointment at my PS for Juvederm to make my upper lip fuller. The receptionist said one syringe which is 1cc is $650 but I might only need less which would be $400. Good or bad experiences would be appreciated!

i have juvaderm injections in my face and i love them! the price sounds about right, it cost me 600 per syringe.. and it goes per syringe, they don't measure how much your face needs usually, you just have to buy the whole syringe and if you have any extra you can use it plump up your cheeks or take the bump off your nose, etc. that was my experience anyways. it was sore for about a day or two, and he said i needed to take it easy ( no work, no going to the gym, no running) for at least 24 hours. if i didn't like it, he said he could just dissolve it instantly. be careful with the doctor though, when it comes to your face you'll need an artist. so far i haven't noticed any downsides

I have Juvederm in my lips no problem. I get 1cc and they are poutier but not omg look it's lips. I had horrible chapped lips all my life and since getting juvederm they are smooth and not as chapped. I didn't really bruise the first time but they were definitely sore. I applied Rosebud salve and took a painkiller and the next day I was good to go and back at work. Good luck with your choice and as the previous poster stated choose your doctor wisely it is your face.

I love it. My customers love it. A few former girls I was friends with hated it. LOL
Go for it. Less is more the first time around.

I have it in my lips and a bit that was left was used on my smile lines. A good doctor will not hold a half used needle, because once its opened it is not longer sterile. So what if you don't need the whole syringe? Don't try to "save" money by using all of it even if you don't need so much, my advice to anyone.
I do have a small bump that only I can notice from an insertion point. I love my lips and have only had one custie ask if they were natural and I said yes
Pix Before & after PLEASE let me know if you can see them!

I love it, my boyfriend hates it but it makes me feel more confident so im going to do it :-) ive had restylane n the past and ive got an appointment for restylane injections on the 21st. Is juvederm better, more natural, lasts longer? I may need to switch. Going to do some research. Thx everyone!
They said "Hey there, girl, tell me what do ya do?"
She says "nothing, but I'm damn sure it's more than you"

I got Botox and Juvederm on the same day. The Botox barely lasted 12 weeks. It's been five months and my lips are still going strong. It's supposed to last 9 months to a year.
I plan to re-up in December since I'm having another procedure at that time anyway. I won't do it if they're still this plump however, I just don't want to go any bigger because I feel like they look great but in a natural way that fits the rest of my face.
The excess in the syringe was used on my smile lines. There wasn't much left so it wasn't a major difference. I'd post before and after of my whole face but I'm too shy now on SW.
My doctor is in Miami and he is in the higher end of prices out here but he has a great reputation and does good work. Very clean and professional and as comfortable as cosmetic procedures can get. My Botox was 300 and the Juvederm was 650. Worth every stage dollar I saved for it
The ombré lip I did in the after pic I used Mac's nightmoth lipliner and Rebel lipstick, FYI![]()
I've had them too, and I loved it. I planned to take a week off (bruising?), but I was back working in a few days (no bruising!). I bought a full syringe (1cc, $450CAD) and used just over half of it.
I will definitely be getting them again!
Lokikola, would you mind telling me the name of your doctor in Miami? I'll be in Florida next month, and while I love my PS in West Palm, I didn't like what he did with my lips so I stopped getting them done. Yours look amazing though, and it's made me want to try again!
I love mine : ) 450/syringe. I went to werk the next day. Itll be much more swollen the first couple days but I actually liked them better like that lol

Update! I did it shortly after this thread was posted and LOVE it. Wish I did it sooner. He ended up using an entire syringe so it was $650. I would like it to be a LITTLE fuller on my upper lip when I go back. My lower lip is more prominent and he went by how it looks naturally.
When I rub my lips together I can feel the "hardness" where it was injected. It is soft and bite-able but I can tell the difference from my natural lip.
