    Default Stripper summer blues

Just a thought I wanted to share with the stripper community: I've had an amazing summer! I've been working very little and exceeding my goals. Summers are notoriously bad in our industry but if it's so good now, I can't imagine what Fall will look like. Albeit I work in a touristy town so that helps. I hope all you ladies are doing just as well and better!!! 💋💋💋

    Lol
I clicked on this thread because our summer is sucking and read this. All I'm thinking is.... This bitch. *eye roll*
Your thread and it's title are deceiving and obnoxious as fuck surprisingly.
I'm sending you a virtual pat on the back. Congratulations.

No complaints here. I haven't even been to AC since I got hired. I'm doing just fine here.

I'm glad you & anyone is doing well..I need to get bk dancing & it's cool to see girls doing great during summer. Hope the ladies that are having a rough go can turn it around soon.

Thank you for the positivity. I'm happy to hear summer is treating you well.

I suppose there is a balance... I had an awful fall last year. To the point where I was ready to give up. I really had to redefine myself in order to stay in the business and I feel powerful for finding the strength to do that. I truly believe that energy radiates from me and onto the crowd when I work.

It does help that it is a tourist attraction type of club.

People can be mean for sure, but I don't mind a little feisty. Makes it interesting.

How about some info on where the money is? If you're gonna brag about beating goal on a thread titled Summer blues at least share the wealth babydoll.

When it comes to not making my goals I'm not to big on getting "green balls".

    Jus' sayin'.

^ green balls!! i love it! late summer is BAD at my club..and i'm feeling the effects. i made 70 bucks tonight. that's less than minimum wage. every guy i approached got a dance, there just weren't enough guys to ask with 13 girls working, and girls rubbing guys dicks out on the floor..just wtf. things are getting tense, and girls are getting a lot more cutthroat

I don't know that my summer is dry because of circumstances at the club, or because I've been more willing to skip work and do fun shit like go to the beach. It's probably a combination of both. Hope everyone's summer is going swimmingly!!!!!

Oregon (the OPs location in her status) isn't big money in general, but summer can be an ok time as there is a lot of tourism throughout the state. Most dancers feel good about $200 shifts in the Portland area. There are pockets where more can be earned, but that usually means extras and/or heavy contact dances.

I work as a TV/Movie extra, and shooting is primarily in the summer, which helps fill in when the clubs drop off. Also, my SO works in construction and his paychecks are HUGE this time of year. He usually gets cut way back in the winter so this kind of job back and forth works great for us, providing financial stability throughout the year.

Next year, I'm working my ass off during winter and spring (which I usually do anyways) and taking off the entire summer to take college credits.

Lol whatever dude. Everyone is annoyed by that girl who complains to everyone in the dressing room that she's not making shit because she only has 700 halfway through her shift. That's exactly what you did posting this. I just said what everyone was thinking, hence all the thanks under my post.
Don't get mad and say I'm "mean" because I called you out on your annoying bullshit post.

i think it was the way you said it..almost like a false modesty, it was a misleading title..like " oh, i know summer must suck for a lot of you, but i'm doing SO well". i'm sure you didn't mean it like that, it was just the way it came off..maybe next time post some of your tricks for getting through a rough season, or some good summer spots to work?

Assume my intentions, be my guest. The title is a play on a typical saying. Not for anyone to take personally. Poor choice on my part, yeah I get it... Jesus ladies. I bust my ass to make money, not saying that any of you don't but get off my back about posting my positive experiences. If it's the title that angers you, well, that's a bigger issue Honestly.

Anyway, my location is not a big secret... yes portland. I'm relatively new to this town (March) an did my time in Texas clubs. Can't really say that I miss the style there relative to the typical conduct in Portland. However, I talk w many girls here and night shift girls make well over $200 per night.

However, I'll add my 2 cents and say it's not so much location that matters (although tourist towns are obviously a safe choice) it's the club you choose and what you make of it. Maybe striped coaching, yoga or anger management might help

Ooh now let's kiss and make up

I'm making 5-700 per shift, so I don't need your advice on what I might need to make my summer better. Not angry either. I was annoyed slightly when I first saw the thread either. No assumptions, only your own, you don't even know me.

But to be on topic, my motto is "expect nothing, appreciate everything." I've had a very good week and positivity radiates and attracts customers to me in addition to recent weight loss and giving up alcohol which translates to a lot of confidence.
