    Thumbs up Healthy way to get energy in the club

    I just came back to dancing. I remember I use to guzzle down the biggest sized red bulls to get me feeling really good and help me with talking to costumers and keep me feeling alert all night long. Eventually I would wake up the next day with huge headaches, stomach aches, the acidity was hurting my teeth and of course I was gaining weight from all of the sugar! Red bull is just not a healthy drink with all of its carcinogens and everything but it makes me feel so damn good! Can someone give me any other way they get that same boost from something else? Besides unhealthy things of course. Any suggestions on an organic energy drink or some type of food? Thanks!

    I actually just discovered this on accident.

    I've been drinking a mixture of vinegar, water, and honey and eating pineapple every morning as a cleanse. I noticed a little pick me up in the mornings but as I've been getting a lot of sleep lately I've already felt pretty well rested. But it wasn't until I was dead exhausted the other day from day drinking then working the night shift and having to work a double the next day on two hours of sleep that I realized how effective it was.

    I had run to the store to grab a monster energy drink and right as I was about to leave for work I realize I hadn't drank my cleanse that day. I accidentally poured around 3 tablespoons of vinegar in my cup of water and of course had barely any honey left to help with the taste so I threw a pineapple chunk in there and also poured some pineapple juice left from the pineapple chunks. I have a feeling I was still drunk lol.

    Anyways I ended up not needing the energy drink and felt wide awake and was able to make it through my double shift. There's different variations of this mix online but if you Google vinegar, water, honey drink I'm sure something will pop up So maybe you can keep a mixture of this drink in your bag or locker at work.

    Also eating pineapple I think helps boost energy too.

    Green tea. You could make a few cups and let it cool and take in to work in a bottle

    Try drinking green tea, eating a banana, taking a herbal energy tablet, having some coconut water or a natural energy drink (available from the health shop, beats red bull and no doze ).

    If your body needs caffeine, try having a black coffee or cold pressed coffee (minus the milk=less bloat). I find that working out before work, even if I am dead tired gives me energy-even though it's hard to find the motivation to do so .

    caffeine is okay in moderation. only thing about red bull is too much refined sugar (plus extra added ingredients) and the sugar free contains synthetic sugar which poses health risks should it absorb into your bloodstream.

    whole foods markets have energy drinks with cane sugar and other more natural ingredients. so if you do need one get it from there.

    I swear by 5hour energy because there is no sugar crash.

    but if you really want to get healthy energy just eat better and exercise more often and take vitamins

    chia seeds!! even the name means "strength" in ancient mayan. they give you a burst of energy and are so good for you..they also block calorie absorption if you are trying to lose weight.

    I've recently started taking short walks before I get ready for work (1-3 miles) because I don't like to do full on workouts days on days that I do and it gives me a nice little bit of extra energy at night. And I drink green tea with lemon when I start my shift.

    Green smoothies & green juicing!

    You'll feel SO good and have so much energy. And it does wonders for your skin/hair/body/etc.
