    Do they look appropiate?
    They're "civilian heels" technically

If they are comfortable enough to dance in for an entire shift, they will definitely work. There is actually a pair of pleasers that looks almost exactly like that. A girl at my club wears them all the time.

As long as they are comfortable and you can walk in them for hours on end, then there should be no issue with them for your first few days. They're very cute!
That being said, civilian heels aren't really made to withstand the things that dancers put shoes through, to be worn for hours on end and are more likely to break during dances/stages/whatever else.
I would try to set aside the money to get your first pair of Pleasers or some other brand of dancer heels as soon as possible. They're more comfortable, last longer and your feel will thank you.
I found the best way (for me at least) was to try and set aside $20-25 bucks per shift when I first started, then in four or five shifts, you should have enough to get a simple, no-nonsense pair of dancing shoes.

When I had to use civilian heels, Magellen insoles for heels were a LIFESAVER. If you're worried you're feet are going to hurt, get yourself some insoles! It really helps, esp when you're on your feet a lot.

Well, they're super cute but as soon as you have $80, get yourself a pair of stripper shoes. I just ordered some pleasers exactly like that for $80!

What exactly do pleasers shoes have that normal heels don't? Just more padding/support?
    Thanks ladies <3

You'll find out the morning after. And it won't be fun especially in those shoes. Work shoes have extra support and stability that "church shoes" lack.

Do dancers actually wear "slides"? How on earth would those stay on your feet while dancing lol.
I want some good sturdy strappy shoes to start.
Any suggestions or links would be very appreciated! I'm on the pleasers site, but don't even see prices ... "/ ??

Even once you get proper work shoes, get sm gel inserts for them!

Real stripper shoes are designed to be worn & danced in for hrs, better stability when walking, built for the beating that they will get in the club. IMO knee- or thigh-high boots give the best support for your joints, & I have sm times found them to be a little cheaper than typical Pleaser or other-brand pump-type shoes. Just smtg to think abt.

Not sure what you mean by slides… Do you mean heels you can slip on and off without straps (like this: http://www.myshoeaddictiontoo.com/pl...e-701-3-cg.jpg)? I wear them and have never had any issues with them falling off my feet on stage. I take them off for dances since it's easier on me, but whenever I've kept them on, falling off has not been an issue. I've seen lots of ladies do inverts and other crazy pole tricks in them too with no problems. If you feel more comfortable with an ankle strap, that's totally fine. I've seen many dances who wear those too, it's all about what's more comfortable for you!

As for prices -- you won't be buying them directly from Pleaser's website since that's wholesale, aka bulk purchases done by stores. You can find them at your local sex store or online. Lots of ladies on here shop at snaz75.com, but most online sex/stripper stores will carry Pleasers. Prices can vary, especially with sales, so you can spend anywhere from $40-$200, depending on the style you want.

Personally, I recommend getting some proper shoes ASAP. I'm willing to bet your feet will HURT after one shift on those, especially if you've never worn them for a long period of time while on your feet. They're totally fine for a shift or two until you decide dancing is for you and have money for proper shoes, but that should really be your first purchase as a dancer!

Real stripper heels have more of a platform making it more level and comfortable. I can walk 8 hours in stripper heels but barely down the road in regular club/party ones. I see girls wear the ones you have on all the time. Usually new girls. They dont seem to complain that much but you'll feel it after a few hours (you would with stripper heels too since you arent used to those either) no pain no gain!

While those are really cute, everyone is correct in advising you to get real dancer shoes ASAP. It's like how you can run once or twice in Keds or Converse, but if you try to run a marathon in them you're gonna fuck yourself over. You need marathon shoes.

If you haven't had your first night yet, you could always pair those civilian heels with opaque black thigh highs (don't cheat with socks!!!) to lessen the impact on your feet. ... But only if you're wearing lingerie/gowns, I do not recommend leg wear with bikinis.

God, I wish I had asked SW what to wear when I started dancing.

I'm gonna agree with everyone. They will get you by until you have the cash to get real shoes. Your feet will thank you for the change. There are some super simple/basic Pleasers on clearance at DiscountStripper right now. Like $38.00 + the $10.00 shipping fee. I have to get them online because my feet are so tiny they don't carry them in stores. But even the brick and mortar porn stores are having sales to clear out for fall merchandise.

I used a pair that looked similar from Charlotte Russe my first few weeks. Got some basic pleasers on yandy for like $40 on sale. If you choose price low to high you can find good deals. Once your stripper shoes get broke in you won't want to wear civilian heels even going out with friends. Someone posted about discount stripped using their card for unauthorized purchases.

Eta. My friend has the same style double strap ones in the Ellie brand and they are already tearing we got them around the same time. Spend a little more and get pleaser or highest heel.

Those should be totally fine. Just make sure they're somewhat comfortable, or you'll be in quite a bit of pain when you get off work!

The thicker heels will be good to have esp if you are not accustomed to really high heels. Also I find thicker heels to give my joints a lot less stress. They are a bit outdated but if you decide you don't like them, you can always keep them in your locker as backup should smtg happen to your future favourite pair.

I know they have a bit of a "retro" feel, but my main concern is stability so I can really show off some dance skills.

No problem,http://snaz75.com/pl-kiss-209.html these were my first heels. They're super sturdy and cheaper than what you paid for those. I highly recommend them.

lol I am sorry I had to comment I made the descion to hold off doing my frist audition cause I feel I should practice walking and doing things in these shoes cause...just feels like...half the time....moving around in them I am going to fall flat on my ass.

if I really wanted to be a bitch I could say flat out this is my mom's fault. The reason I say that is even when I was just a teen, I wanted to wear heels...my moms idea of wearing "a heel" is as small as they could go...she always gave the whole if its to high your gonna fall and break your neck. umm yeah no duh you have to train your legs and feet to walk in heels and you usually have to start at small height and work your way up.

if I was allowed to be a normal girly teen I might have gotten to do that...when i was younger. lol but apparently not so much.

Hopefully I can strengthen my legs up soon.

Glad you got the real deal, even if I can't view the pics for some reason.

If you had chosen to wear the original posted shoes, my biggest concern would be comfort. My first couple of nights were done in civilian heels, and it was probably one of the worst experiences of my life- and I've been a heel lover since I was 13! I don't even count them as my "beginner shoes" because I made no money while distracted by them. I wore a much sturdier pair of civvy boots (yay, Demonia!) after that until I bought my first pair of stripper heels from another girl.

Second to that would be the wear and tear. I once bought a pair of civvy shoes that seemed to have very stripper-esque construction, only to have to "decommission" them in two weeks time. Every part of their construction was spot on except the fucking soles. However, that was at the height of my time dancing and I was very rough on my shoes. [The last pair I bought for work were a pair of Ellie boots, which are supposed to be stripper shoes, that I tore off (and superglued back on) a sole and broke the shank section within a week, but somehow managed to last the whole summer before becoming civilian. Anyone else have problems with Ellie boots, or did I just get a defective pair?]

On the note of mules, I have a love/hate relationship with them. I like to take my shoes off during couch dances or be barefoot during breaks in the DR, so the easy on/off is a huge plus to me. Unfortunately, I have also had them fly off while dancing on stage (again, temper this against the fact that I'm a rough dancer) a couple of times- one of which broke the corner of a mirror. Never seen it happen to other girls unless they were wearing the wrong size, but it's enough of a safety hazard for me that I'll stick to something with an ankle strap. It's just annoying to try unbuckling them during dances without detracting from the moment.
Exotic dancing is like any other job.
If you work in an office, you wear dress shoes and a suit.
If you work in a restaraunt, you wear skid resistant shoes and a uniform.
If you work in a strip club, you wear 7" stilettos and lycra g-strings.
