Lightbulb How do you keep track of your customers?

Hi! I'm a dancer in Phoenix. I find that the best way to make money is to remember details about the customer. I keep a small notebook and pen in my purse and write down EVERYTHING! Their name, how much they spent, if they were pleasant or not. Do you girls do the same? How do you keep track of your customers? And how do you keep track of how much you make?

I used to do this! I would only do this for confirmed regulars, however. Especially in Arizona, where the focus is more on doing a high volume of dances (since they're $10), I can't imagine keeping track of every customer!

I used to use Excel to keep track of how much money I made. I had a column specifically for comments about the night (factors that affected my earnings, the general flow of customers, etc.) and a column just for comments about my own appearance (what I wore, how I did my hair and makeup, etc.).

I don't. I'm so bad at remembering guys, I feel awful! I have even gone up to a guy like 30 min after I danced for him and introduced myself again, lol. Maybe I should try the notepad thing for big spenders

For good guys (guys that at least do a room and a nice tip), I get their number and then put in my notes in my phone their name, number, how many hours they did, how much they tipped, what kind of bottles they bought, the date and day they came in and to which club, and anything I can remember about them that may be significant. This way, if they come in again, I can remember what they usually like to do (hour wise, tip wise, and bottle wise). Works great for me.

I use a google voice account. I will give out that number to nice customers. Not even every big spender gets my number, only if I want to see the customer again. On google voice, there is a spot to add notes to your contact. I put down the date, dollar amount spent, and some tickler notes about my customer. That way, when he calls or texts, I know something about him. I also use a naming scheme to help me remember the customer. For instance, I have a regular who looks like John Boehner. His name is Dave, which is not going to tell me much, so I just gave him the last name of "Boehner" in my contacts list. I remember instantly who it is when he calls. I have contacts with last names like "Winery Guy" and "Crocks Guy." Too many of my customers have really common middle aged white guy names, and this helps me remember.

I use an excel spread sheet to track earnings and expenditures. I have a monthly goal listed and it is highlighted in red until I've hit that goal. I've also got a stretch goal so that if I reach my doable goal before the end of the month, I'll keep going in to try to reach my stretch goal.

Haha, yes I always laugh at the kinds of names I have on my Google Voice list....Jim Too Tan, Eric Gingivitis, George SteveMartinLookalike and Mark CHEAP make frequent appearances lmao
I didn't even realize there were spaces for notes on there, I should definitely start using that!

this is awesome Charlie! Im not a stripper, Im a camgirl but that idea for the Excel sheet about your appearance is such a good idea. I keep a spreadsheet for just earnings, but I am totally going to add in what I wore, my hair, etc to see if this affects my cam earnings as well. Thank you!
