    Default Numbness in knees?

I have been dancing for 8 years, and intermittently in the last 3 years, I have been having some numbness in my knees. It starts off looking like my knees are bruised, then there is a novocaine-esque numbness around the side and under my kneecaps that can last from 10 mins to an hour. With vigorous rubbing, the symptoms abate, but it really is disconcerting. This doesn't happen daily, only a few times per year, but it is very upsetting.

Has anyone else dealt with this? FWIW my stage is made of polished granite, and I've been trying to avoid floorwork.

Numbness can also be a sign of severe cartilege or nerve dmg. I would see an orthopaedic specialist abt that ASAP, fk just hoping it will take care of itself. Glucosamine+chondroitin in the meantime, ibuprofen for inflammation, the usual 'avoid what sets it off' until you can get it looked at. Hope you can find sm relief soon! :hugs:
